Vicki played with the end of her skirt, looking at herself in the mirror. She had done her makeup light, her peachy pink lipstick making the girl feel cute. 

She wanted to look nice today, she wanted to put in effort. Why, however, she was denying that part. 

Her mind kept flashing back to the night before, her cheeks flushing a bright pink. She had fun with Audrey, and she felt like she could be herself around the girl. But that didn't mean-

"Ready for school, cuz?" Noah poked his head round the open door, grinning at the girl's pleasant smile.

"Sure"

The girl shook off her last thought, grabbing her school bag from the floor and skipping toward the door.

When they pulled up outside school, Vicki noticed Audrey straight away, pointing her out to Noah before jumping out of the car. The two walked up to their friend who was too busy on her phone to notice them in front of her.

"Egg-wich?" Noah asked her, making Audrey jump and look up suddenly "Woah! Oh, sorry. Somebody's jumpy today"

"Tired, actually" Audrey sighed "I kinda worked the creeper shift last night"

Noah jumped up onto the hood of the car next to Audrey as Vicki moved to stand in front of the pair. 

"Any creepers?" Vicki tilted her head to the side.

"Nothing really" the brunette shook her head "Pretty boring"

Something about her tone hinted otherwise, but Vicki decided to drop it. There was a slight lull in conversation, Noah still grinning like an idiot.

"Okay, look, it's way too early for you to be this keyed" Audrey turned to the boy "Let it out"

"Oh, no" he denied it sarcastically, shaking his head "No, it's nothing. Just an intriguing new lead on our favourite demented internet troll"

"AKA the person who's been harassing me?"

"AKA Piper's accomplice" Noah smirked.

"Show me"

He pulled out his phone, Vicki edging closer to get a good look at the screen.

"Okay. My interview with Emma netted a record number of comments" he held out the device "Feast your eyes"

"On what, Noah?" Audrey frowned, sounding tense "What am I looking at?"

"Commenter EddieKrueger?" Noah grinned "Not just your average fan of one of the 80's most prolific psychos, but also a night clerk at the Crescent Palms. I still have to confirm the lead, but this Eddie guy claims he actually saw Piper's accomplice. Like, in the flesh"

"No way" Vicki mumbled, her stomach clenching in fear.

"It's...It's amazing" He chuckled, shaking his head.
