After filling him in on the attack, the two went straight back to who they thought was behind the whole thing, Audrey bringing back up Stavo. The girl moved around as she talked, Vicki walking by her side patiently.

"He's obsessed with the Lakewood Six. He was the one handing out the doped-up shots last night" She came to a stop, watching Stavo with narrowed eyes "He's drawing out friends being brutally murdered. And, now, hello, one of our friends has been brutally murdered!"

The idea that he was the killer made Vicki squirm, the girl remembering the conversation she had with him only around an hour ago.

"And if you're right and I'm wrong, I will apologise" she started her walking once again, glaring at the boy through a stack of books before continuing on "But if I'm right, what are you gonna say when I'm the one hanging from a banner with my insides on the outside?"

She leaned against a door, it opening slightly and making both girl's freeze. Audrey closed it as quietly as she could.

"Dude, the emergency door is disarmed. If you can sneak into the service hallway, you can get back without being caught"

She hung up, moving she was leaning against a bookshelf as she had done a hundred times now, watching Stavo with beady eyes. Vicki waited by the door, getting ready to create a diversion if Noah needed help getting in.

This time he seemed to notice her, holding up his hand and miming a shooting gun to piss her off. She was focusing so much she didn't hear Noah slip inside the room, Vicki giving the boy a quick hug.

"Audrey!" Noah whispered yelled, the girl turning around panicked before realising who it was.

"Due, you scared the crap out of me!" Audrey replied, moving so she could watch Stavo from behind the books once again.

"Sorry" Noah apologised, Vicki rolling her eyes at her paranoia "You okay? I was out there, and you were in here and it just, it felt weird"

"What do you mean?"

"We're always together in times of intense peril, and...this time you two were alone. I don't know. I-I was worried about you"

"Oh" Audrey sighed "Thanks. Anyway, I've been watching Stavo"

Vicki gave his hand a gentle squeeze before unsuccessfully trying to pull Audrey away from her spying. She knew how much he missed his best friend, and how distant she had been from them both lately.

"Stavo?" Noah shook his head "I'm telling you-"

"And I'm telling you this guy could be seriously messed up, Noah"

"We barely know the kid" Noah joined her in her watching, Vicki throwing up her hands in exasperation and moving away from them both in a mood.

"I'm sorry he doesn't fit your accomplice profile, but he's got the same twisted sense of humour as the freak that's been calling me"

"You've been getting calls?" Noah moved back, Vicki snapping out of her strop at the news and moving back towards them.

"I'm talking about the texts, the ones I showed you, the ones I got when Emma got back" Audrey lied, and very badly too.
