Vicki lay on the floor of her bedroom, smiling down at the sketches she had created. She had spent hours drawing and correcting and was very pleased with all the work she had managed to get done, tracing her now grey hands over the pencil lines with affection. The alone time hadn't really been a bad thing, she had found she was much more productive when she was able to simply sink into her own mind and tune everything and everyone else out.

But, when her phone buzzed with a text from Audrey, she didn't hesitate to answer. Being alone was good, but being with people who cared about you was even better. As it was so dark, she was expecting a short message about when the girl and her cousin would be home. This was not the case.

Vic, something's really wrong. I need you to come to the carnival, asap

What's happened? x

Noah's missing, please hurry. Meet me by the Ferris Wheel.

"Fuck" Vicki sighed, slipping on her shoes and grabbing her keys and coat before running for the car, shouting a quick lie to Marie so she wouldn't worry.

She drove as fast as legally possible to the carnival grounds, cheering mentally when she found a parking spot instantly; some people were beginning to leave as it was so late and getting a bit cold.

She ran through the park, searching for anyone familiar or the Ferris Wheel itself as she shimmied her way through clumps of dawdling people having fun. When she spotted the two things she had been looking for she let out a sigh of relief; there stood Emma underneath the Ferris Wheel, looking equally as lost as Vicki was.

"Emma!" she called, catching the girl's attention as she ran towards her.

"Have you seen Kieran?" the blonde asked, clearly concerned.

"No, sorry" Vicki shook her head "Have you seen Noah? Audrey said something about-"

The rest of her sentence disappeared as Emma's phone chimed in her hand, Kieran's name appearing on the screen.

"Hey! Uh, where are you?" she continued to look around, trying to spot him.

Vicki couldn't hear the reply, but by the way that Emma froze she could tell that it wasn't good.

"Where's Kieran? Where...Where's Kieran? What did you do to him?"

"What's-" Vicki began, but she was once again cut off by Emma's phone. The two looked at the screen in horror to see Kieran tied up, a piece of tape over his mouth.

Emma took off without a second thought, running to his aid. And of course Vicki followed after her, calling her name and trying to keep up with her fast pace as not to lose her. After a few minutes, Vicki realised they were heading to the very place she didn't want to be in. The Funhouse.

"Please no!" Vicki panted.

"Come on!" Emma urged, throwing open the doors and running inside. Vicki grabbed onto her hand, listening as the creepy music slowly powered up, the lights brightening to allow them to see enough to walk around. Large clowns with red lights for eyes stared back at them, blank and ominous expressions on their faces.
