Deciding they had done enough damage, the trio left Noah's work after apologising profusely to Emma through various texts. None of them felt quite comfortable being alone however, so instead of all going home to rest, Audrey stayed with her friends.

As soon as he was in, Noah left the two girls in his room as he had a shower, letting his cousin have free range over the music choice.

In hindsight, this wasn't a wise decision as Vicki had the tendency to blast her tunes.

Poor Marie.

Luckily the woman was out for the time being.

Searching for a good song, the girl threw herself on the bed next to Audrey, almost landing on her.

When she couldn't find the right one, she sighed. Dropping her phone on her stomach, she stared up at the ceiling in a troubled manner.

"You okay?" the short girl checked, sitting up slightly so she could see her friend better.

"Why do you always ask that?" Vicki raised on eyebrow.

"Because I care" Audrey moved a stray strand of hair from the girl's left eye.

The red head blushed slightly, but hid her shyness with a laugh.

It had been a while since someone cared.

But there were certain troubles that came with caring.

In the end, someone always got hurt.

"Today's been a serious downer" Vicki grumbled.

"You've got that right" Audrey agreed.

"Oh!" The ginger sat bolt upright, scaring her "I know"

"What?"

"Dance party"

"Oh hell no"

"Oh please"

"I don't dance"

"I say you can"

"Not a chance. No. No"

"As funny as quoting HSM is, I wanna dance and I'm not doing it alone"

Audrey grumbled some more but let the girl pull her to her feet. Vicki found something happy and easy to dance to, plugging her phone into the speakers to get the full effect.

She began to shake her hips, grabbing the girls hands and waving them to the beat of the music.

"I hate you" Audrey whined.

"No you don't" Vicki laughed "You care about me"

"Yeah, whatever" Audrey rolled her eyes "Don't be telling people that, they'll think I've gone soft"
