*Taylor's POV*

Ed and I have been waiting in the waiting room for news for 3 hours. We adopt a kid, and she ends up in the hospital not even 48 hours later. Wow, what great parents! Note the sarcasm.... I was trying to think of what on the news could of made her freak out so bad. It was just two criminals named Elizabeth and Garrett Green, oh no. "Ed, I know why she freaked out like that!" I exclaimed. "What? What is it?" Ed asked frantically, wanting to know what caused all this. "You know how Jade was in the orphanage because of her past, and how she seems so scared of it?" I asked. "Well yeah, remember the nightmare?" Ed said confused. "Also how her last name is Green?" I said, seeing if he got the hints about the news. "Yeah..." "Her parents were released from prison yesterday. Elizabeth and Garrett Green. Also, right before Jade screamed, the man said 'Jade, we will find you.'" I explained, sort of getting scared for my new daughter. "We need to protect her from them, she can't be taken away from us now!" he said gripping my hand. "I know, I just want to know what her parents did to scare her so bad, and put them in jail." I wondered aloud. "I kno-" Ed was saying before a doctor came in saying "Parents of Jade Green?" "US," Ed and I say in unison. "Okay, come on in," he said. "What happened? Is she okay?" Ed said hurriedly. "She is fine, she just had a panic attack, which caused her to freak out. Do you know what caused the attack?" he explained. "Well, we just adopted her and on her first night, she was screaming and crying from a nightmare about her past, and then today, her parents were released from jail. She saw it on the news and I guess started the panic attack and passed out. We got her here as fast as possible." I said as much as I knew. "Well that explains a lot. Try to get her to trust you so you can help her with her past, then don't let her out of your sight. If they really are after her, you don't want them getting her." he said, looking a little concerned. "Okay. Now how is she?" Ed asked. "Why don't you go see," the doctor said, opening her door to show her wide awake, looking very scared. "Thanks," I murmured to the doctor as I walked in to my baby. "Hey baby," I said quietly. "What happened mum?" she said quietly, looking scared like she needed reassurance. Wait a minute... she called me mum! I think she realized it the same time I did, because she said hurriedly, "I'm sorry I called you mum, please don't hit me." Oh my god- she thought I was mad, and going to hit her! "No, no baby, look up," I said, causing her to look up, fear in her eyes. "I would never, EVER hit you, okay baby? Neither would Ed, neither would anyone that will ever be in this family okay? We don't want to hurt you- we love you. I don't know what bad things your parents did to you, but I want you to know we would NEVER do that to you okay?" I said, hoping to give her confidence in trusting us. "Never. I promise." added in Ed. "Okay mum." she said, looking a little less scared, even though I know she still was scared about her parents, but we will take one problem at a time.
