chapter 4

     After about 2 hours I drove back to my pack house. This is where the whole pack live. Few families have their separate homes in the town. When I pulled my car to park in front of the pack house, I could here voices from the back field. I made my way to the field to find kids playing, parents sitting under the tree shades and watching over the kids. I went and sat on my back porch steps watching the kids play. Few minutes passed and someone sat next to me. Without even looking I know it was Liam. 

"So.... What was that all about?" 

I let out a huge breath and looked at the sky. "Who's the new girl?" 

"Girl? You are asking about a girl?" I gave him a stare which meant 'don't mess with me'. 

"Oh...hmmm.. Her name is Tessa I think. She joined our school last week. She has science and math with us and she hangs out with Matt's group" I gritted my teeth on hearing his name. 

"What's the matter Ethan? You never ask about girls. Wow... wait.. is she your...?" 

" I think so. But tell none about it until I say" 

"Why?" he asked. 

      "Because I said so.." I got annoyed with him and took few breaths to calm myself. "Sorry man. I'm just pissed that she is hanging with that douche bag. You know how he is with girls. I want to get her away from him first, get her to like me, tell about who I really am... I don't know my mind is going crazy" 

   "I understand man having human mate is different and complicated" 

     "Lucky for you, Mia is one of us" we let this topic slide when we saw Seth and Kyle coming our way. We talked about other things. When dinner time came I went it to find my mom in kitchen. I went and kissed her on cheeks before grabbing my food and going to bed. Once in bed I turned and rolled but couldn't stop thinking about her. I can't wait to see her tomorrow at school.

Tessa's POV 

     After school Matt insisted on dropping me back home. I called my mom and told her that I got a ride. On reaching my home I invited Matt for a drink. I made him sit on the couch in my hall and went to get the drink. When I was closing the fridge after getting our drinks which was coke, I heard Boomer's loud barks. I rushed to see him in front of Matt who was standing on the tea table. His face was hilarious I couldn't help but laugh at the scene in front of me. 

"So you have meet Boomer I guess!" 

"Do you mind putting your dog on a leash because I like to keep my body parts intact" he scrowled. 

     "Boomer...you are scaring him. He is my friend Matt from school" I told while placing the drinks on the table and patting Boomer's head. He stopped barking but was still looking at Matt angrily. Boomer was a very protective dog. He never likes any new person near me. Noah was afraid at first but once he understood he was family, they became friends. Something about him seems to disturb Boomer. I wonder what it was. I pulled him by his collar and made him go to the back yard. 

       We had our drinks and chatted for a while. Matt left after an hour or so telling me that he'll pick me tomorrow for school. I did my home work and made dinner for mom. We had our dinner while talking about school and her office. Mom stayed back to clean the kitchen while I went to bed. I had a dream that day which was rare, I don't dream often. In my dream I was in a beautiful clearing with a single tree surrounded by flowers. Sitting under the tree was a wolf. Its eyes seemed so similar but I can't point it out. I have always fascinated animals and loved drawing them. But this wolf was different. 

      Next morning I got my ride with Matt. After meeting with my friends I went to my first class which was English. After English I had science. When I entered the class it was full except for a table at the back. I made my way to that table n sat down. Our teacher Mr. Smith was about to start the class, when the class door open and someone entered the room. I was busy getting my thing from the back I didn't look up to see that person.
