Chapter 26

Ethan's POV 

We spent Sunday at the pack house. Tessa came by morning since Rachel stayed with Kyle last night. Guess they sort out the issues. Rachel is one tough chick, Kyle has lot of ass kissing to do in future. We guys played COD while the girls invaded the kitchen preparing lunch. We had lunch on the picnic tables at the backyard. We all watched movie in the movie room. During the movie Liam picked up and ran out to his room to do you-know-what. 

Tessa looked up from my chest where she was lying comfortably and watching the movie 

"What's with them? Always disappearing suddenly?" 

I just shrugged with a smile thinking 'if only you knew about our sex drive' 

I leaned near her ears "If I don't know any better I'd say they are making babies" I said kissing her ear. 

She snuck in a sharp breath and looked up to me "Shouldn't they wait until they get married!" 

"Who said they are not married?" 

She sat up on my lap, with her legs either side of me with wide eyes "What! Really?"  

I also sat up putting my hands around her waist and nodded at her. 

"But... they are not wearing any ring!" 

"They are. Around their necks to avoid issues in human world" when she looked still confused "Its common in our world. We find our mate at the age of 13 and can mate and get married at 16. Liam is legally 18 now but got married last year when Lia reached 16" and kissed her nose. 

"Oh ok" she said resting her head in crook of my neck. I bent down and inhaled her intoxicating scent making my wolf purr. He wanted to mate with her and our position was not helping. 

"Baby girl" I called huskily 

"Hmmm...." 

"As much as I like the position we are in, its stirring my wolf and I don't want to do anything until you are ready. So ...." I said loosening my arms. 

She looked up shocked and red faced and hurriedly got out of my lap but not without few clumsy movements making me groan. She then excused and ran to the washroom. I was trying to control my urges to follow her when I heard a snicker from the couple across from us. Kyle was giving me a knowing smirk while Rachel was wiggling her brows hiding a laugh. These two were pissing me off.  

I went up to my room to cool off. After a few minutes Tessa joined me sitting on my bed near me. 

We talked for sometimes and ended up in each others arms in comfortable silence. I could feel peace in her through our bond whereas my mind was full of things about to happen on the following days when the other alpha family arrives. I'm sure I can handle them, but I was worried about their reaction to me finding my mate seeing she is human and me being the future alpha. Lets see what happens.

Tessa's POV 

Sunday went by in a swish. I was happy from spending the day at the pack house. Rachel seems happy with the things between her and Kyle. I'm not sure if he had told the big truth to her. I was actually looking forward to that day and to see her reaction. She is basically an adventures person but this is another type of adventure, like to an unknown world of supernatural and all.  

Monday didn't start good as I expected because Ethan called and told that he can't pick me up today because of his guests. So I took Rachel's car since she was going out with Kyle. I waited for him in our homeroom but he didn't show up. Morning classes dragged by and it was lunch already. We were at our usual table except for Ethan and Kyle. When I asked Liam where Ethan was, he told he got caught up with his guests. When I messaged and called him few times but got back 'Will call you back' text in reply. 

I was worried about him. I know he was stressed about this matter from Saturday but didn't expect it to be this big of a deal like can't even reply or attend my calls. I have no idea about what was happening. This whole werewolf world is new to me so don't blame me. What ever it was I'll be there to support him. He is my future and I have to be there with him in each step to build our future. 

Afternoon classes couldn't take my mind of these things. But arts seem to relieve some stress. Once the final bell rang I was off like a bat to the parking. I drove to the pack house with an excitement of seeing Ethan. When I entered the house it was quite but I could see a few people in the back yard. I made my way to his room, I thought of knocking but changed that thought to give him a surprise.  

I threw open the door only to stop on my step from further entering the room. The sight in front of me was like pouring hot water on my face. It made my blood boil. Not wanting to stand another second there I turned on my heel and ran to my car avoiding the voice calling for me. I saw Molly by the front door but didn't stop even to return her greetings. I jumped in the driver seat and drove off. I could hear my name being called but I tuned out and kept driving.
