Ethan's POV

"I'm an idiot" I cursed myself for acting like that to Tessa. I know she was worried about me but I don't want to involve her in my stupid issues. Everything was going great until my dad called me to his office.

Earlier that day.....

I knocked twice and opened my dad's office. "You called?"

"Yes" he told from behind his desk motioning for me to take a seat in front of his desk.

I did as he asked waiting for him to talk. I can see he was in his own thoughts which means the issue was serious. My dad was a jolly guy apart from his tough exterior.

"So..." I asked bring him back to present.

"I want to give you a heads up. The alpha family from the Red moon pack are visiting on Monday"

"Dad you know how I feel about them. Moreover I have found my mate. Can't you just tell them to not come?"

"You know I can't do that. Our packs has a long history together. I'll let the alpha know that you have found your mate and nothing can be discussed in that area."

I grunted in response. My pack the Blue mountain pack and the Red moon pack were close because of the ancestors mainly the alpha used to be best friends. There were also few marriages of ranked wolves between the packs. This started five generation before. Now the current alpha thinks that his daughter will be my mate. The girl was brought up believing that. But I was sure I would find my true mate so I never showed intrest in her.

"The alpha's daughter and son are staying with us for a few days."

"What? You got to be joking....." I looked up to my father's face to find some sort of lie. But his stern face told me that he was not joking. I pulled my hair in frustration and turned to the door but stopped and looked behind my shoulder to ask my dad

"But you know I won't be adjusting or putting up with the crazy shits the do every time they visit right?"

"I wouldn't expect in. But try to stay clear of any problems and take care of your mate" he said with a sigh

I just nodded my head and went outside. I could hear my little mate laughing with my friends and I don't want to spoil their fun. So instead of going to the back door I went to the front to my car. I have to get Tessa to her home and discuss few things with my friends regarding the next week. I mind linked Liam to bring Tessa to me. When he asked whats wrong I told him 'later' and he understood. That's what maked Liam my Beta. He is very smart for his own good and understand me better than anyone else.

During the drive when Tessa asked what was wrong I just avoided the issues and my tone was a bit hard than I expected. I know she was mad from the way she went to her house without even a second glance. My wolf was whinning for making our mate upset but I have to deal with him later. I have another thing to be sorted out.

When I entered my house I could see my friends waiting for me near the stairs. I have mindlikned them to meet me In my room. We made it to our room and they settled in. I told them about the situation. I know none of my friends are fond of the visitors and was ready to learn about my plan to keep them away from harms of my mate.

It was later and I was in my bed alone. I have messaged Tessa telling my sorry but she didn't reply. Stubborn mate I have. I can't go to sleep with my mate upset so I got to action and ran towards her house. I changed in to my human form and threw a shorts and Tee. I made it to her side of the house. There was a tree near her window making it easy for me to get in her room. But before I could enter the sight I got through the window mirror made me root in my spot and my wolf howl.
