Chapter 32

Tessa's POV 

I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. Well that was settled. For now. I have to be careful to maintain my distance from my wolf friends to avoid this kind of problem at least until I change to another shirt from my locker. I turned and stepped towards the building with that plan in my mind only to be stopped on my first step, when my eyes found the person standing behind me. Busted! 

Standing in front of me was a confused looking Leah.  

"Where is he going?" 

"erm... for a run" 

"Why?" she asked raising her brows. 

"Nothing. Well ..we...we got into an argument and he got mad and went for a run" I said as confident as possible. 

"Oh. Ok he can be an airhead sometimes. Don't mind him. Well you left the folder at lunch table. See you after school" she turned back to school after handing my folder. Wow that was close. 

I went to my next class but only after changing my shirt. Afternoon went fast and we piled up in Liam's car towards the pack house. I spent time with Molly and her mom helping with cooking. I missed my mom. She'll be back tomorrow. After dinner I did my homework and went to bed. I was waiting for Ethan's cal but only got a message telling he was busy and wishing me good night. 

Next day went fast but not without the dirty looks from Matt. I tried to avoid being alone. After school my mom surprised me waiting to pick me up in the parking lot. I ran to her open arms hugging and kissing o her cheeks. After my dad died she was the only parent I had and I missed her lot past few days. I said my bye and went home with mom.  

Rachel was also home. We made dinner and ate discussing about mom's business trip and how my days went. I offered to wash the plates and tidy up the kitchen giving an early night for my mom. I was drying up the plates thinking about Ethan, he has not called me yesterday or today. I was really mad at him. I know he was busy but can't he at least call me once.  

I missed him like crazy but I guess he didn't miss me that much. I was drying up the last few plated when Rachel came down all dressed up in short shorts and tight tops. She was going to some club in town with Kyle. Lucky her. She came in grabbing a water bottle from fridge and giving me a peck on my cheeks. 

"Don't worry Tess. Go to your room everything will be fine. See you tomorrow" 

I finished my work and checked the doors making sure its locked. I checked on my mom before going upstairs, she was dead sleep in her bed. I made my way to my room and closed the door behind me. The cold breeze hit my skin, I thought I locked the windows before going down. Maybe I didn't. I thought a nice warm shower will calm my sense.  

I walked in to my closet without turning on the closet light, I had enough light from my bedroom and I just want to grab a loose tee for bed. I opened the bottom draw and bent down picking the t-shirt. When I stood up I could feel someone behind me. My heart started beating fast in fear, I was about to scream when a hand shot out blocking my voice and another hand encircled my waist.

Ethan's POV 

I was back from my trip to the nearby pack. They had rogue problems and needed our held to deal with them. I was supposed to be a simple mission. Circle the rouges and kill them. But things got out of hand when more rouges showed up during the fight. One stupid mutt even bit me hard on my stomach taking out a good amount of flesh. The situation was so tense we lost 3 members from the other pack and a few were injured. But eventually we won.
