chapter 5

     Wednesday began with wet sloppy kisses from none other than Boomer. He sneaked into my room, pulled down the cover and started licking my face. 

     "Boomer....stop it.. Ok ok I'm up" I told while jumping out of bed. I bathed and dressed in a casual summer dress. Its was a sleeveless, knee length red dress with white and yellow flowers all over. I ate my breakfast and waited for my ride. 

    "Wow! You look beautiful Tessa" Matt said as soon as got in the car. I muttered my thanks and turned my head to the window to hide my blush. 

      School went as usual. At lunch I saw Ethan and just smiled at him which he returned. For the whole lunch I can feel his eyes on my back. After lunch I had Math, as I entered the class I saw Ethan and Liam also had Math with me. They were sitting to my right on a row behind me. The teacher started with a new topic. Math... I hate it. It's always my weak link in academics. I just find it hard to get in my head. The teacher explained the methods with few problems on the board. He asked many questions during this. I was surprised to find Ethan answering all correctly, while I was struggling to get a hang of it. We hand home work based on today's lesson. Next was science, the teacher told us to sit in the same seat like yesterday and told that it'll be the same till the end. Great.. 

      The teacher started teaching, this topic was already finished in my old school so I got bored and turned to look at Ethan. He was looking good in his blue button up shirt which was open. He had white t-shirt inside and wore a dark blue jean. When I looked up to his face he was looking at me with a loop side smile "Want something?" he asked. 

"ehm... eh.. I don't have work on Wednesdays, so we can work today also" I blurted out. "if you are free if that is" I added to it. 

      I saw his face lit up and told he is up to it. He asked where we can work his place or mine. I thought it was safe to be in my home and told him. 

"We can drive together if you want" he offered. 

"Its ok. I have a ride with my friend Matt today. Thanks for asking" I saw his face harden and he just nodded in response. As soon as he nodded we heard the bell. He just rushed out as if he was on fire. Weird for sure. Matt dropped me home. When I told him Ethan was coming over, he insisted on staying with me, but I told him it was ok. Finally we decided that he'll wait till Ethan shows up. 

      We were watching Tv and sitting on the couch. As usual Boomer was barking at Matt so I made him to go outside. 15 minutes later the door bell rang, I went to open the door. Ethan was standing there, I invited him inside and closed the main door. We made it to the hall to see Matt still watching tv. Once he noticed us he stood up and walked towards us. Both boys stared at each other like having a mental conversation. Matt moved to me and surprised me by taking me in to a tight hug. He has never hug me like this before so why now? 

      I looked up to see Ethan whose eyes were red with anger and his hands were clenched into a fist. I pulled back form the hug. Matt kissed me on my cheek and left after closing the main door. I turned to find Ethan tensed and looking at the closed door. What's the matter between these two? I cleared my throat and asked him if he want something to drink. He just nodded his head in response. I brought orange juice for both of us and handed his drink. We sat and had our drinks. I heard Boomer barking. 

"You have a dog?" he asked. 

"Yes. He's at the backyard wan to meet him?" I always liked to show off Boomer. He was so cute and clever. 

      He nodded his head and followed me to the back yard. I opened the back door to find him still barking. He looked at me and Ethan stepped in front of me. Once Boomer saw him he stopped barking and lied down with his heads on the ground. What is happening? I was still in my thoughts when Ethan walked to him and patted his head. As soon as he patted his head, Boomer became very happy and started playing with Ethan. I went to the happy couple and sat near them.
