Chapter 27

Ethan's POV 

Usually the Monday mornings will be exited for me to meet with my mate but today was another story. To make it worse my dad linked to be ready in less than an hour and to meet up with him to welcome our guests. Great. I did as my dad told and was at the front door with my dad, mom, my dad's beta. Few minutes past when we saw the cars pull up in front of the pack house.  

First to get out of the car was the alpha, you can tell it by looking at him. He was big and strong but not as much as my dad. We have our reasons to be the strongest pack you know!. He was followed by his beta and luna. The next car was his son Marcus aka Mark, he was fit but as an alpha to be he is not upto par. Ha ha. Even Liam is bigger than him. 

The pink convertible was next. You would have known whose it was without even me telling. Yep it's the great Stephanie, the alpha's daughter. She got out in her Barbie pink dress which was a size small for her and way to short.  

I turned to look at my dad welcoming our guests. I bowed my head in respect for the alpha and luna and shook hand with the beta. The elders carried on inside while I waited to follow them but was held back with a hand on my shoulder. I turned to find Mark, he removed his coolers and extended his hands. 

"Hey man. Long time no see!" he said while pulling me for a bro hug. 

"Ya good to see you too man" I said patting his shoulder and pasting a fake smile. 

I pulled back and turned to head inside when he said "Where are you going? Aren't you going to greet my sis?" 

Cursing under my breath I turned to find her standing close to me. I took a step back avoiding her attempt to hug me. I said my 'Hey' and welcomed them inside.  

I went to the kitchen to find both lunas among with few other pack females preparing lunch. When my mom started a talk with Steph I took it as my chance to slip out of the kitchen to join the alphas and betas in my dad's office. They discussed about the pack and rouge issues while I sat on the couch in the back waiting to end all this and to meet my mate. 

I mind-linked Liam asking about my mate. He told that she was ok and missing me. I missed her too. I would do whatever it takes to spend this time with her, but unfortunately I have to hold on to meeting her. Finally the meeting was over when mom called for lunch. 

During lunch my dad and mom sat on the head of the table and the other couple sat on the opposite end. To the alpha's right was the beta and to the left was the alpha to be. Steph seated herself next to me instead of the opposite side. I stared at my dad sending dagger at him. He gave me apologetic smile and got on with eating. 

It was difficult for me to swallow my food with her near me. she kept giving me weird glances. When I didn't respond to that she started touching my arms, sides and leg. It was like fire when she touched me. my wolf was wanting to rip her hands. I couldn't take it any more when she ran her hands on my thigh. I stood up abruptly making all eyes to turn on me. I mind linked my dad telling I can't take it anymore. He just nodded in response. I excused from the table and went to my room.  

Even if I tried I couldn't calm my wolf. He wants his mate, to touch her and kiss her. I kept rolling on my bed but nothing helped. I can't go out for a run because my dad will call me anytime. So I decided to hit the gym. I changed to my shorts and tee before going. I did my runs, push-ups, lifted weights, almost all the equipment in my gym. Believe me my gym is full of all possible equipments needed to keep us fit. 

I don't know how long I worked there but it did help to calm my wolf, atleast for now. I made my way to my room to shower, while arguing with my wolf. He wants to go to our mate now itself and I was getting him back in line telling that we can go after the shower. I entered my room while pulling my tee, when it was at my neck when I felt hands encircling my waist from behind and pushing me on my bed. 

My wolf pushed back to surface knowing who it was from the heavy perfume smell. I finally pulled free of my t-shirt and tried to pry her hands free. Damn she has a good hold!. I pulled her hands apart and turned around pushing her off me. I rolled to my back and she was on her side next to me. 

I didn't even get time to process what happened when her lips were on mine. I came to my sense after a second inhaling deeply and ready to yell at her. But the scent hit me making me stop in mid way. My eyes snapped to the door way to look at the last person to see me in such a situation. 

Tessa stood there with her face full of shock and hurt. I could see her eyes watering up. God I'm screwed. She turned on her heels and started run down the stairs. I pushed off the blond bitch that caused my mate pain. She went flying off the bed and landed on the floor after hitting the wall. I ignored her cries and ran after my mate calling out her name. 

She was at the front door, I could see Molly entering the house and greeting her, but she was in no mood to reply her. When I reached the door, she was already in her car. I called out to her but she kept driving. I gave up on calling out her name and turned to face the very pissed looking Molly. 

"WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO TO HER?" she yelled. 

"I didn't do anything" I said pushing her and walking up to my room. I could hear the following me. When we entered my room she also stepped in with me. She took a whiff nearing the wrinkled bed. When she put two and two together and turned to me with accusing eyes. 

"You... her.." 

I didn't let her finish the sentence. "No, no, no " I explained her what happened ripping the sheets off the bed which had her scent and throwing it outside and slumping on the floor. 

"Now Tessa thinks I cheated on her" I said pulling my hair "You should have seen the hurt in her eyes. God. I wanted to run after her but I'm afraid she'll reject me on the spot" I said hiding my face in my hands in shame. 

Molly slid on the floor next to me and patted my shoulder. I looked up to see her face. I could see pity and anger on it. 

"Just give her time to cool and then talk to her. She'll understand once you explain it to her"  

I nodded hoping she was right. I'd wait till tomorrow morning to go and meet her. When she stayed quiet I looked to she her face. I know that face. Oh ho! Her wheels are turning and someone's going down. When she plans to get back at someone she REALLY gets back. No kidding! You better not get on her bad side. But I'm glad to know who she was planning against. 

On thinking about that bitch my blood boiled. My wolf was whining to get to our mate but when I told him to wait till morning he got on the silent treatment not saying a word even when I talked to him. 

My sis left me after cheering me up a bit. Liam and the guys came to me to talk about the mess. When I didn't reply to them they left except for Liam. Steph was quite for her nature. She likes to create a scene but she was very quite after the things happened this evening so I sent Liam to keep an eye on my mate. I know she and her brother would go to any limit to get back at me. 

Thankfully the others have left leaving the siblings behind. Liam also suggested that it was a good idea because she'd be all alone. Her mom has gone out of state for work and Rachel was going on a date with Kyle leaving her home alone. 

I was in bed thinking how to explain things to my mate when I felt my wolf stir. Guess he got bored with silent treatment. Ha ha. As minutes passed he paced restless making me confused. When I was about to ask him what was wrong I heard Liam in my head. 

"ETHAN. GET TO TESSA NOW" he sounded panicked making thousand thoughts fly through my mind.

Mwhaaaaa ..... cliff hanger.
