Chapter 31

Tessa's POV 

It's Monday and I was in my home room surrounded by my friends chatting but my mind was not into it. Ethan was out for 2 days with pack work and I was missing him already. I left to school from his house with the guys but not before a long goodbye kiss from my boyfriend. Its only an hour but I'm missing him already. A nudge to my side brought me back. I looked at the person next to me to find Kyle with a smile and pointing to the teacher in front of the class. 

"Missing him already?" 

"Ya. How about you? Missing Rach?" I asked opening my note book 

"A lot. But I'm bit worried about you" 

"Why?" I asked confused. 

"Why! Because the alpha's mate and you feel the pull missing him already and you are not even fully mated" 

"Er.. ya I think its better not talking about that" I said avoiding his eyes. 

"Ya sure but it'll happen for sure" he said with a laugh. 

"Enough about me. So how are things with Rachel and you?" 

"Going good. She is great and one of a kind" he said with a dreamy look. 

"Ya that's nice. But you better behave or else..." 

"Or else what, will you kick my arse?" he asked amused. 

"No. but surely Rach will kick it before me. I might use a little backup from Ethan or Liam" 

"God you are so evil, but what you said is true. I never want to get on her bad side" 

We both laughed earning a glare from the teacher. We kept quite after that and the class went on. We parted our way to next classes planning to meet for lunch. I had Arts before lunch, in which none of my friends were except for Lisa who was on leave today. We were left free to draw what we want. I was thinking of Ethan while sketching. Suddenly a thought came to my mind 'I have not seen his wolf still' the only wolf I have seen was Liam.  

There were few sketches of the wolf which I saw in my dreams. I'm sure it was Ethan. How can I be so sure? Because those grey eyes never changed to pull me even in human or wolf form. The class ended and I made my way to the lunch room. As I was rounding the corner a hand shot out and pulled me inside. The door closed behind me and it was dark. The light flicked on, I was in the janitor closet with the one person I never wanted to be alone with. MATT..... 

"Hmm... its so nice to see you this close again" he said backing me up on the wall. Our bodies were touching making me feel like worms crawling on my skin. 

"Get off me" I said trying to push him away. The key word tried. 

He held me tighter "Oh.. you are no fun! I see your body guard boyfriend is not here today. So lets have some fun" 

I freed one of my hand and slapped him. He stepped back putting a gap between us. At the same time we heard someone near the door.  

"You like feisty eh. Well I like to finish this but not here and not now" he stepped close, our noses almost touching. "You hear it good love. I always get what I want and I'LL GET YOU" he hissed in my ears and kissed my cheeks and pushed me down before going out.  

I sat there in the closet thinking over what he said. He was planning on getting me back in his bed. No no no. it can't happen. I'm Ethan's as he is mine. I have to tell him. I got up with my mobile in hand ready to call him. But I stopped when I thought what'd happen if Ethan comes to know of it. Matt'll end up dead and he'll get into trouble. No I can't get Ethan in trouble. 

I wiped my tears and freshened up in the girls rest room. I went to the lunch room to see my friends waiting for me at our usual table. I took a seat in between Seth and Mia. They have already got lunch for me. I took a fry and nibbled on it. 

"You ok?" asked Mia concerned 

"Ya I'm fine. Just tired" I told her with a fake smile. 

"Oh. Had a late night yesterday!" Leah teased from across the table. 

They kept arguing about this topic but my mind was running a mile per second thinking about the incident with Matt. Seth put his arm around me. 

"Don't worry Tessa dear I'll protect you from these nosy gals"  

I felt him inhale and still. I turned to look at him. His brows were creased like concentrating on something. 

"Why are you smelling like another male?" he asked confused. 

"I..er.." 

"Is that that asshole Matt I'm smelling on you?" he asked angered 

"Shhhh... Please don't tell anyone" 

"What! Why?" he asked 

"I don't want to make this a big issue. So let it go" I said turning back to my food. Luckily others didn't hear our discussion. 

Suddenly Seth stood up "I got something to take care of. See you guys after school" and made his way to the fields where I knew Matt and his friends were. 

"Guys I'm done. I'll see you later" I collected my bag and ran after him. "Seth wait" I caught up with him at the edge of the fields. I pulled his hands and made him stop. 

"Let my hands go Tessa I'm going to have a little chat with him" he said pointing to Matt. 

"No you won't" 

"You want to bet?" he said taking another step towards his target. 

"No. Please don't I'll tell you what happened"  

"Ok go on" he said crossing his arms 

"But on one condition. You have to promise me that you won't tell Ethan about this" 

"Tessa you know I can't do that. Ethan'll tear us to pieces if something happens to you" 

"Nothing will happen. I can take care of it. If I can't I'll tell him myself. I promise" 

"Ok fine. But if Ethan asks I'm blaming it on you" he said disappointed 

"Ok. Deal" we shook hands and I told him what happened. When I was finished I could feel Seth's body shaking with anger. His eyes were burning hole at Matt's back across the field. 

"That son of a bitch. I'm going to rip his head" he growled turning towards the field. 

"No. Seth you promised. I'm fine now and I'll be careful from now on. Please" 

"Argh..." he shouted kicking the ground. "I'm going for a run" he mumbled and ran towards the tree lines behind the school. 

I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. Well that was settled. For now. I have to be careful to maintain my distance from my wolf friends to avoid this kind of problem atleast until I change to another shirt from my locker. I turned and stepped towards the building with that plan in my mind only to be stopped on my first step, when my eyes found the person standing behind me. Busted!
