Chapter 30

Tessa's POV

Next two days was spent locked in Ethan's room. Molly was the only other person allowed inside the room. Ethan only visited me when it was too much to bear. My scent has increased making it hard for him to stay close to me. Finally I came out to have breakfast with my friends on Saturday morning. Everyone was at the table.  

Ethan was to my right and Seth to my left. We were all enjoying our food with little chats when a ear piercing scream came from upstairs followed by heavy footsteps of someone running down the stairs. All the eyes in the room was fixed on the doorway when the person itself entered the room. 

There in the door way stood the blonde bitch fuming like a furnace. The only change, a drastic change in her was that her hair was no longer blonde, it was PINK, bright neon pink. Everyone around the table was holding their laughter so hard. But unfortunately Seth burst it out followed by the others. 

"Urgh.. I'm going to kill who did this to me" she screeched and stomped out of the room. 

"Serves her well" I heard someone say. 

When I was thinking on who did this my eyes landed on the girl across from me with a crazy smirk on her face.  

"You did this!" I asked with bulged eyes. 

"I don't know what you are talking about" she said getting up from her chair. 

"So that's what she was planning. I wonder what else she got in store for Pinky" Ethan said shaking his head looking at his sisters retrieving figure. 

"Whatever she plans next I want in" said Leah followed by "Me too" from my friends. 

"She made you cry, so will she. Don't worry sis we got your back" Liam said from behind me. 

I looked around the table to find all my friends who love and care for me. They are not just friends but family to me now. I felt so lucky to have them in my life. A hand squeezing mine brought me back to reality. I looked up to see my boyfriend who made this all possible smiling at me. I kissed him to let him know my emotions. He kissed back making me satisfied. 

All of us went to catch a movie and dinner in town. We all came back to find Rachel and Kyle waiting for us. I hugged her while jumping on the spot. 

"I missed you so much girl" 

"Ya I missed you too Tess" 

We pulled away to see the guys congratulating Kyle. Why are they congrat......! Wait a minute... I turned to Rachel surprised. She answered me by showing her mark and telling "Yep I know" 

After a while of fussing over the mark and Rachel fighting me for not telling her about this world we settled in the games and media room. Seth and Logan were playing some game, girls were playing pool, Ethan was on the single sofa with his legs sprawled out on its side and head resting on the armrest playing some game in his mobile. Boys and these games. Kyle has gone to meet his parents with Rachel. Guess he can't wait for his mate to meet his family. 

I went to grab snacks and drinks for us. Kyle joined my while making my way up to the room leaving Rachel to use the washroom. When we entered the room I could see the pink head near Ethan trying to climb on his lap. Ethan was avoiding her attempts and finally stood up leaving her to sit on the sofa he was sitting few seconds back. When he tried to move away she grabbed his hand making him stop and turn back to her. As soon as he turned his eyes landed on me. the hard stare was replaced with soft hue making me smile. 

Pinky turned her head to look at what brought smile to Ethan's face. She saw me standing in the door way and sniffed. 

"You are mated to a puny human?" she said with disgust in her voice making my lips turn downwards. In the next second she was in front of me looking at me like I was dirt. 

"What were you thinking when marking this stupid human? I'm your rightful mate. More powerful and matching in all aspect. She is nothing compared to us. Weak and vulnerable. How could you do this to us?..." 

"ENOUGH" boomed Ethan's voice making her cringe. "She is my mate, my SOUL MATE. The future Luna of the pack. Keep that in mind while speaking about her. You were never my mate and there was no definitely 'us'. She might be human, but I couldn't have asked for a perfect mate that her. She is all I want and need" He was looking at my eyes during the last part making happy tears forming in my eyes. We both were caught up with our emotions, not noticing the pink head moving towards me. 

"YOU...." She shouted and lunged at me only to be tackled down by bone other than Rachel. She was sitting on pinky's back holding the victims twisted hand. 

"Don't you even dare think about hurting my couz. Werewolf or not I'll rip your heart out" she hissed in pinky's ears and got up not before shoveling her to the ground. 

I was fixed in the trance of the things happening only to be brought back to reality when Kyle muttered "Wow my mate is hot when she is mad".  

I turned to him "You have no idea what you have gotten into. You'll always be on your toes with her as a mate" I said with a smile and a shake of my head. 

"You ok girly!" Rachel asked hugging me. I hugged back with a nod. 

I looked over her shoulder to find Ethan having a heated conversation with Pinky. She then huffed and stomped out of the room. We continued with movies and fun till its time for bed. I have changed into one of Ethan's tee and got into bed. He was in the shower. I thought of what Pinky said, I know I'm a human and weak when compared to them. But Ethan and others here didn't mind this. Or did they? Ethan is going to be the net alpha of the pack and needs a strong mate to help him lead, Am I capable of it? I was doubting my self in what the future holds for me.  

My doubts were answered when I was pulled back to a warm chest with hands around my waist. He nuzzled into my neck taking a deep breath. He kissed my neck sending tingles allover my body. That moment I knew this is what or who I'll have in future by my side. If the fates have decided us to be paired up then so be it. Who can fight against fate! 

"Hmm... whats going on in your head baby girl! Its giving me a head ache" 

"Sorry about that" I muttered into the pillow. 

He turned me to lie on my back. He has popped his head on his hands and elbow. He looked down at me "Baby girl if you are thinking about what happened with Steph, please remember that I meant every word I said there. You are all what I wanted. She is nothing compared to you. She won't bother you again I have taken care of it. So don't you worry your pretty head over someone stupid and worthless" 

"Ok and thanks for standing up for me" 

"Always and pleasure" he winked and bent down pecking me and muttering goodnight. We held each others in peaceful embrace till the darkness consumed us.
