Chris' POV
"Why did you ask me that," I whispered.
"I just wanted to know if you knew her," she pressed.
I nodded and walked into the bathroom. My lip began to quiver as your voice pounded within my brain. I felt your hands grip my heart and turn it into grounded salt. I couldn't hold this one in. Usually when you come, I can control this. I slid down to the floor and locked the door as I felt my episode coming. I slowly slid my knees up to my chest and braced myself for the emotional ride I was about to take.
*Flashback*
"Come here, Chris," Liliana poked at my arm.
"Nah, you're drunk. You need to lie down," I snapped.
"Why are you being so mean Christopher," she slurred.
"Why am I being so mean? Are you f*cking kidding me Liliana? Why are you being so stupid? I'm sick of you coming over here when you're drunk or when you need something. You're the one that dumped me off for Raegan and her party crew. You didn't think I would get sick of being your doormat? We were best friends Lil. And to think I started to actually fall for you is the kicker. This is the last night I'm doing this. You can find someone else to run to and put up with your bullsh*t," I barked.
"Chris, I'm sorry. I didn't know you felt that way. I just like hanging out with Rae. Why don't you come with us," she asked swaying towards me.
"No." I spat.
"See, you're such a punk Chris. You never do anything. You just sit around and do nothing. You have never been anything. I just needed someone to be there for me and you were the only person that would do it. I got what I wanted. You never had a chance with me. You know that. You're not made for this type of life. I only stayed your friend because I felt sorry for you. Your parents died and you've been nothing but an emotional wreck since then. I only felt sorry for you Chris. So try again sir. Your speech won't work." She chuckled.
I clenched my jaw while she talked. I slowly backed away from her as I felt my temper rising.
"You're lying Liliana. I know you are." I mumbled.
"Not at all, Chris. I don't need you anymore." She spat.
I nodded and turned towards the door. I debated whether to walk out or kick her out. I finally realized that kicking her out wouldn't help so I grabbed my coat off the wall and opened the door.
"Wait, Chris," she soothed.
I kept my back to her and she came to grab my hand.
"Don't leave me. I didn't mean it. It's the alcohol talking. I promise. Please Chris. I can't do this without you." She pleaded.
I chuckled darkly at her statement. "It's the alcohol talking" is what she just said to me. The thing is that alcohol brings out the truth in some people.
"Let me go," I hollered.
She gripped my hand tighter making me grit my teeth.
"I hate you, let me go NOW" I barked.
She let my hand go and...
*Flashback Over*
I snapped from my thoughts when Raegan opened the door. I looked up at her figure and she immediately fell to the ground.
