Chris's POV
I walked in to Carmen's house and dropped Raegan's bag on the floor.
"Hey," Carmen spoke as she looked up from the table, "who's bag is that?"
"Raegan's" I uttered under my breath. Her face turned and I shrugged.
I walked back to the car and grabbed Raegan from the car. She wrapped her legs around my waist and I walked her into the house, closing the door behind me. Carmen watched as I took Raegan into the room I slept in. Laying her on the bed, I stood up and took my hat off.
"Chris, can I talk to you?" Carmen whispered from the doorway. I nodded and walked out of my room, closing the door again.
"Yeah?" I looked at her.
"What is she doing here?" she looked up at me and grabbed my hands.
"Henry died today. I couldn't just leave her there. There was blood all over the house so I brought her here." I spoke quietly and rubbed her hands.
She nodded and tucked a small piece of hair behind her hair.
"Okay, I'll make dinner." She walked away from me and I sighed deeply. This is really happening to me. Two people, that I kind of like, are in the same house with me. I shook my head and walked back into the room to look at Raegan. She laid lifelessly on the bed and I sat beside her. I let my hand rub her side and her breathing began to pick up.
"I want to get you out of those clothes," I mumbled slightly, "not in a sexual way just so you can get out of his blood..." my voice trailed off. I lifted her off of the bed and carried her into the bathroom. I sat her on the toilet and turned the shower on. I felt like a caretaker but I knew she would do the same for me. Wouldn't she?
I tied her hair up with one of Carmen's hair ties and pulled the bloody shirt off of her, throwing it into the trashcan. A small lump in my throat started to grow and I pulled her pants down.
"Can you take it from here?" I mumbled and looked up at her. She didn't move. Her eyes were dripping with tears, as if her soul was no longer in her body. I peeled her under clothes off and helped her into the shower. She leaned against the showerwall and I washed her body gently. My hand ran against her dark chocolate skin and I cleared my throat. I got down to her private area and sucked in a bit of air. I washed her slowly and looked up at her for assurance. She didn't move, but I knew she didn't mind it. I pulled the shower head down and rinsed her body gently. Carmen walked into the bathroom and frowned before she mumbled.
"Dinner is ready.." she slammed the door shut and I rubbed my hair. I dried her body and gave her clean pair of underwear to put on. She slipped them on weakly and I put one of my t-shirts over her head. I pulled her hair back down and helped her into the bed.
"Are you hungry?" I asked her softly.
She shook her head just enough for me to understand and I nodded. I stood up and smoothed her hair down.
"I will be back. I am going to eat and I will come back." I whispered a little. She nodded again and I stepped out of the room.
I walked out of the bedroom and closed the door behind before making my way to the dining room. Carmen sat at the table with my plate made, and I kissed her head before I sat down beside her. Her body language was off. She leaned away from me and I knew why.
"She can't wash herself?" Carmen snapped slightly.
I frowned and looked up from the plate I was eating.
"No. What's wrong, Carmen?" I mumbled under my breath.
"You were touching all over her, Chris. She-She had her legs wrapped around your waist and you're just rubbing on her and everything."
"Her brother died, Carmen. I told you that when I walked in the door with her."
"Okay, but she can wash herself. You didn't have to do that. Rubbing her pussy and shit."
My temper was rising and I could feel him taking over me.
"You should have just let her do it herself when she could," she continued.
I slammed my hands on the table, causing the table to shake. Carmen jumped at my actions and yelped a little.
"Her brother just died, Carmen! I told you that! Her brother just took a gun and shot himself in the fucking chin right in front of her! His brains were splattered all over the wall! She needs me and I love her!" I yelled in her face. Her eyes dropped and she nodded.
"I'm sorry, Chris. I understand, you want her." she mumbled.
I stood up and punched the wall.
"Selfish! You're still making it about you!" My body was shaking and I backed her into the wall. My hand slipped her throat and she gasped.
"Chris, Chris please! I'm sorry!" she begged.
I huffed at her and tightened my grip before I felt a hand touch my back.
Raegan's POV
I touched Chris's back softly and he turned and looked at me. His eye color was now red and he scowled down at me. I touched the side of his face softly and his eyes began to buck.
"Come back, Chris," I spoke quietly. I kept rubbing his jaw softly and he let his grip around Carmen's neck go. His eyes began to shift back and I smiled at him a little.
"There we go. Stay right here with me, baby." I held his face in my hands and Carmen fell to the floor. I escorted Chris back into his room and helped Carmen.
"Be careful," I said quietly. "I can't take losing anymore people around me."
"It's like this because you are here. He was fine before you got here." she snapped.
I scoffed and walked back into Chris's room, where he sat in a chair with his head in his hands.
I laid back in the bed and he pulled the covers over my shoulder.
We sat in silence. I could hear his breathing, and his sniffles. He cleared his throat a few times, but never left my side.
"Chris.."
"Yeah?"
"Who was that?" I asked quietly...
"Someone I hate..." he trailed off.
