Chapter 24: Last Contender
Rina's P.O.V
"Whoever did this to you Mommy, I swear! I'll hit their faces two times! And the girls?! Huh! I'm going to slap their faces back and forth! No one dares to make my Mommy cry! No one! I'm going to avenge you tomorrow Mom! Just wait!"
Hindi ko mapigilang mapangiti habang pinapanood ko si Third sa pagdadabog nya sa kwarto ko.
Hindi ko na din alam ang mga sumunod na nangyari matapos dumating ni JD sa classroom ko noong nakaraang araw.
Isang araw na din akong hindi pumapasok sa school. Hanggang ngayon kasi hindi ko maiwasang matakot na bumalik sa impyernong classroom na yun.
I hate myself for being weak...again. Kung hindi pa dumating si JD ng mga araw na iyon, hindi ko na alam kung anong mangyayari sa akin. Hindi ko na alam kung ano ang pwedeng gawin sa akin ng mga video na iyon.
I hate to admit it but what happened last year is my hard limit. That no matter I come to reminisce that part of my life, I can't help but fall down in my knees, cry and torment myself for what had happened.
Italy helps. But not for long.
"Are you okay Mom?"
Nagulat ako ng makita si Third na nakaupo na dito sa tabi ko sa may kama habang hawak-hawak nya yung dalawang kamay ko.
I envy Third and at the same time make me love him more.
Ang bata pa nya pero isa na sya sa nagiging source ng pagbangon ko.
He helps me stand up before. Kahit hanggang ngayon.
Third and JD. Hindi ko alam kung anong gagawin ko kapag wala sila sa tabi ko.
"I'm sorry Third..." I said sincerely as I place my hand on his head, slowly brushing his curly hair. "Mommy is weak. Sorry if you're the one who protects me. I should be the one doing that. Don't worry. I'll—"
"Mom, it's okay." Third interrupted me. "You're supposed to become weak. So I can protect you."
Natigilan ako sandali sa sinabi ni Third.
Why do I have this feeling na narinig ko na ang linyang ito noon?
'You're supposed to become weak...so I can protect you.'
Yeah right. JD said the same words to me back then.
And speaking of JD, I wonder where he is right now.
Ang sabi sa akin nila Papa, matapos daw akong ihatid ni JD pauwi sa bahay noong nakaraang araw, hindi pa daw umuuwi si JD.
They tried to call him pero hindi daw nya sinasagot ang phone nito. Even his friends, walang sumasagot.
Sinubukan ko din syang kontakin kagabi kaya lang busy ang linya nya.
Hindi naman sa nag-aalala ako kay JD. Malaki na sya. Alam kong kaya na nya ang sarili nya kung nasaan man sya. Saka lagi naman syang missing in action dito sa bahay.
