Chapter 67: Courting Rina Part 1

JD's POV

          "Where the hell are you, Third?!"

          [Wow! You finally noticed that I'm gone! Congratulations, jerk!]

          "Just answer me young man! Where are you?!"

          As soon as I went home after kicking those fools for giving me such ridiculous idea about courting Rina, I saw an empty unit and Third's empty closet.

          First, his mother leave this house. And now, Third leaves the house! How am I supposed to take this many bullshits if they keep on coming at the same time huh?!

          "Come back here now, Third Villafuerte or I'm going to drag hell with you! You choose!''

          I hear him chuckle on the other line. [I'm not going back until I saw Mom.]

          "WHAT?! Are you trying to do bargain business with me kid?!"

          [No. I'm not a kid. And no again because I don't do business. I'm ordering you to take my Mommy back, jerk!]

          Argh! This kid and his own choice of words! "Why are you so stick-headed huh?! Both of you?! What did I've done to you to make me do things I don't want to do?!"

          [It's your fault. Mom is angry with you because you're a jerk and I'm not going home until I saw Mom and because you're a jerk!]

          He hang up the phone on me as I throw mine away then I pull my hair out of annoyance.

          Rina don't want to see me. Third don't want to see me either. Damn everyone don't want to see me! Huh! They can fuck off but I will never, as in never court that woman Rina!

          Never!

Rina's POV

            Ilang araw na akong nakikitira dito sa condo ni Nozomi. Ilang araw na rin akong nagiging pabigat sa kanya. Pero ang sabi naman niya hindi daw ako nakakabigat sa kanya kaya okay lang daw na dito muna ako sa kanila.

          And I feel so guilty. Lagi na lang kasi akong nagiging burden sa mga tao sa paligid ko.

          Tapos hindi pa doon natatapos ang pagiging mabuting kaibigan sa akin ni Nozomi. She even help me give alibis doon sa Professor namin maging doon sa Dean ng College namin para lang ma-excuse ako sa mga absences ako at makapagtake ako ng final exam.

          It took a while pero in the end napapayag din namin sila na pag-examin ako.

          And now balik na ulit ako sa school and focusing on my remaining days before finals.

          Gaya nga nang sinabi sa akin ni Nozomi, I need to perfect this exam kung hindi, baka bumagsak ako nang tuluyan.

          Wala namang problema sa akin ang mag-aral because I am confident na mapapasa ko ang written exams. Doon ako sa hands-on kinakahaban.

          Mabilis akong mapagod, and Renji keep on reminding me—via phone calls—na ingatan ko raw ang sarili ko because I might lost my baby kapag hindi ako nag-ingat.

          And that makes me conscious even more. Yung tipong bawat galaw ko ay dapat kalkulado. Na maling hakbang ko lang, baka mawala na ang baby sa loob ko.
