Rina's P.O.V
Hindi ko akalain babalik pa ulit ako dito. Sa lugar kung saan nagsimula ang lahat.
Sa Westside University.
I was supposed to graduate from Fashion Designing two years ago...before that accident on Christmas Eve happened.
It was set to be a good night for it was his birthday too.
But then, things happens. And I know we can never go back to what our life has been before.
It's too late for regret. Too late for sorry and drama.
I'm done with the past and I don't want to reminisce those scenes anymore.
This is my new life now. I'm just going to start back at one.
As I pass along the corridor of my College building, I noticed that something is quite different.
People keep staring at me as if I become the instant freak of this school. Some of them were familiar to me for I have encountered them inside the school premises before. Some also seems to recognize me...even by the new look I wear.
Inisip ko na lang na naninibago sila sa akin. New face. Transferee. Blah! Blah! Blah! At siguro, nakadagdag na din sa curiosity nila yung bago kong buhok.
Of course my red hair stands out among the rest. Good thing na wala namang masyadong restriction ang Westside when it comes to hair style and color. Students here have their own personal type of rules.
Damn with the rich kids right?
Pero, hanggang sa papalapit na ako sa room ng first subject ko, nararamdaman ko na yung mapanghusga nilang tingin at bulungan. Some don't even bother to tone down their voices para hindi ko sila marinig. Like as if they care kung marinig ko man sila o hindi.
"Yan yung dating estudyante dito di ba? Yung kapatid ng isa sa Trinity X?"
"Sya ba yun? Saka sino yung kapatid nya sa Trinity X? Wala na yun di ba?"
"Oo sya yun! Nagpakulay lang ng buhok."
"Ano kayang drama yan?"
"Ewan. Pauso nya. Feeling gangster din kasi may kapatid syang gangster."
"Baka nga!"
Ilan lang yan sa narinig ko sa mga nagkukumpulang babae sa may isang corner. But it's not the worst part of all. The worst is yet to come.
As I passed along some of my male classmates—which I wonder what make them still here in Westside—they start talking to themselves but enough for me to hear.
"Shet! Si Rina! Nagballik na!"
"Tangina pre! Sya yung nasa video di ba?"
"Di ko akalain na ganoon pala sya!"
Napakunot ako ng marinig ko bulong-bulongan nila. Nung napatingin ako sa direksyon nila I saw their faces full of disgust saka sila naglayo ng tingin sa akin.
