I was hoping Calum wasn't too mad at me for snapping at him. I kinda had to, I couldn't show I cared for him, I was terrified of heartbreak again. He would leave, sooner or later, he already has, but I'm kinda glad he came back. I lay in bed like I always do, feeling starved, tired, and done. Done with this hell hole I call my life. I hate Calum, I tried telling myself. But in the back of my head there was a little voice that told me we both know I'm lying. Seriously, he's been on my mind nonstop, while he's out having the time of his life with his friends and meeting pretty girls, I was suffering. I don't think I can stand the hunger anymore. I went to go in the kitchen, and get myself at least a bite of something. I decided on an orange slice and a bottle of water. When I was walking out of the kitchen to my room, there was a knock on the door. Who the fuck? I thought. Then I started worrying, oh god, what if it's the cops? I can't be living alone, I'm only sixteen. They probably arrested my mom, so that means I would be going to a foster home, again. It's happened before, I was home alone when I was 14, and the cops came and said my mother was in jail, snd they were taking me away. I was kinda hoping it was the cops, because then I could get away from here and live with new people, bitches or not, I didn't care, I needed to get away. I walked slowly to the door, and unlocked it. I cautiously opened it to be met with those beautiful brown eyes that I've missed.

"Hey, Mel." Calum smiled.
