Everyone was just staring, in schock. I noticed a girl holding hands with Luke, it must be his girlfriend.
"Um, you guys could you go in the living room for a bit?" Calum asked everyone. They all nodded and walked away.
"Calum, I-" But he cut me off.
"Melody, why? Why did you do it? Do you know how much it hurts me to see you like this?" He asks, with sadness in his eyes. Then, I started crying. He came over and pulled me in his arms.
"It's all going to be okay....you're going to be okay. I'm here...." he said calmly.
"Calum...c-can I tell you something?"
"anything, what's wrong babe?"
"Well...When I was 6, my father got put in jail for life, because he was a drug addict and a drinker. Then, my mom got depressed without him. She started to take her anger out on me, and she too started doing drugs. She went to jail once, because she stole something. I was forced to live in a foster home. I went from place to place, the first one I stayed at the people were so lovely and kind. The second one, they abused me. I had nightmares about it. I was in there for only about half a year... when I was finally able to return home because my mom got out of jail. It didn't help at all, she started drinking loads, and going out all the time and hardly ever coming back. I-I havent seen her in weeks...I've had to raise myself since I was 6, do you know how hard that is?!?!? I did a terrible job, I mean look at me, I'm a freak! I hear voices, telling me some of the cruelest things. What kind of person hears voices? I'm fucking insane! I- I ju-" and that was when I broke. He started rubbing my back, and I heaed him sniffle. I look up at him, to see he was crying.
"Melody, I love you, okay? I'm sorry for what happened. Just know I love you, to the moon and back." I smiled. I know he means like in a best friend way, but it still means alot.
"R-really?"
"Yes. Forever and always."
I smiled then remembered there's people in the living room.
"Um, I think we should go check on your friends now.." I said. We got up and walked to where they were. When they saw us, they smiled.
"So guys, this is Melody." Calum said.
"Oh yea, I remember you. You came to our meet and greet that one time. It's nice to see you again." Ashton said. I smiled at him.
"Oh, I forgot you guys haven't met," Luke said, talking about his girlfriend and I, "Melody, this is Makala. Makala, this is Melody."
"Hi" she smiled. She had perfect straight white teeth, and I envied her for that. She also had this gorgeous long dark brown hair, and oh there goes my self esteem. Then, she stood up to hug me. Aw, she was so short.
"Hi." I smiled and hugged her.
"So, I was thinking we could go somewhere, like the beach or something. Who's up for it? Calum said and everybody cheered yes. Um, no. I thought.
