Prank Wars Chapter 4

Artemis was fuming at Wally's latest prank. It took her hours to get rid of every single post-it, and the air horn nearly gave her a heart attack when she tried to slam the door. She knew she had to get him back good. Also, he always had this smirk every time she saw him.

She was biding her time with her plans of revenge. She wanted to make him paranoid, and freak out. Also, it was an excuse to give her more time to figure out what to do next. She wanted to get him back with the thing he loves the most, his food. She already pranked him once using his precious food by replacing the Oreo filling with toothpaste.

She already done it so he wouldn't suspect she would do something similar again.

A plan was beginning to formulate in her head. Fall was coming up, and that gave her so many opportunities to do something. She could replace a key ingredient in a dessert, she could make them with Megan and distract her to replace them.

It only took a few minutes of looking on the internet to figure out what to do. She was going to replace candy apples with onions. But this was only the beginning. She was going to switch out the sugar and salt in the coffee, so he would be forced to drink it to get the taste of caramel onions out of his mouth.

Artemis mentally congratulated herself on being a genius. Now all she had to do was put everything together.

Gathering the ingredients was the easy part, she bought them ahead of time. She asked Megan for help on making them for a school event.

"I know you're good at making desserts, so I was wondering if you could help me practice making caramel apples for school." Artemis asked her Martian friend, a week after Wally's last prank.

"Sure Artemis, I was looking for a new dessert to make. I have to get most of the ingredients since we don't have them here at the cave." Megan used her powers to open the fridge and draws to search for what they already had.

"Don't worry, I bought them on my way here." The blonde archer told her slinging the grocery bag onto the counter.

"How did you know I would say yes?" She asked Artemis.

"Lucky guess. Let's start now." The archer said changing the subject before the Martian could look further into it or read her mind. Artemis put all of the ingredients on the table, and hid the onions in a cabinet close to the floor. They had a cookbook open in front of them and were learning how to make caramel apples.

It took them a few tries to get the hang of it. Their failed attempts were still informative and fun. They made a gigantic mess with both of their failed and successful attempts.

"I'll do the last batch while you can start cleaning it." Artemis proposed. She figured that it will take Megan about a minute or so to clean up the kitchen with her powers. Meanwhile Artemis will have enough time to switch out the last of the apples with the onions.

Once Megan nodded and turned her back, she quickly went to work dipping them into the caramel and making sure they looked identical to the regular apples. It only took a couple more coats than usual, but she finally got them done.

Artemis was placing the caramel onions on the tray to cool when Megan turned around. "All done." Artemis told her smirking. While the apples/onions were cooling she could move onto her next plan, fixing the coffee. Her next prank was a little basic but it would do the job nicely.

She would make him be wary of anything he eats. It's the perfect revenge.

Unfortunately she couldn't find the salt shaker. You can never find something the one time you need it.
