IMAGINE: It's Christmas eve and you're having a family Christmas party but as you go outside you notice that your neighbor is walking around his living room with a sad look on his face. You know your neighbor has his family with his son over for Christmas but something is different so you go over. You knock on his door and your neighbor answers. "Y/N I thought you were in Texas for your annual family Christmas party"he said surprised to see you "My brother is remodeling his house so I got bumped into hosting it this year and why aren't you in New York or with your son" you ask.
"Because of Johnny's illness he can't fly and my family is in New York with my mom this year" he replied. "And why aren't you there Criss?" You asked. "I did an illusion that didn't go so well and because of it my doctor advised me not to fly and I felt guilty about having them change their plans because of me so I lied saying I was all right which I'm not" wiping a tear away.
"Criss I hate to see you alone how about you come over to my house the more the merrier". "I-I-don't know". "Please Christopher my niece Mimi is such a fan of yours she even looking at college here so she can bunk with me". "If that happens remind me to stop undressing in front of an open window" Criss joked.
"So how about come over in a hour and see how many of my family think you're my boyfriend" as Criss snickered. "All right" and you leave. An hour later your family arrives you're hoping to god nobody complains of all the cars in your driveway. "Aunt Carmen tell Uncle Bob he can't park on the grass unless he wants to pay for the dead patches the car will make" you call out. "Y/N where's the whiskey". "Mom I told you since you're driving dad back to the hotel you and Jack aren't seeing each other now make sure the kids didn't get into the deserts before dinner".
The door bell rang and you answer it to see Criss. "I see you came". "Thanks for the last minute invite. Wow did you invite every family member" Criss asked looking around. "Not everyone I couldn't raise the dead relatives" as Criss chuckled. "Honey your aunt can't find the punch-who is this your new boyfriend" her father inquired as Criss blushed. "This is my neighbor Criss dad and he's not my boyfriend so pass it around before mom calls every newspaper and town crier" you ask. "OK nice to meet you Christopher" and left.
"Allright let me give you the low down. First stay away from my grandmother she'll talk your ears off or put you to sleep, my uncle Ralph who's smoking-UNCLE RALPH OUTSIDE OR PUT IT OUT loves to talk about football including his time playing one year for the Broncos. Mention anything that has to do with The Patriots and he'll go crazy".
Criss gave a thumbs up and went to mingle. "Who's the hot man getting a drink?" your cougar of an aunt asked. "My neighbor and I'm not joking he's older than you by two years" you stated and left. While everyone was eating you were putting the coats away when Criss's phone started to ring. You find it and notice the number. "Hello". "Y/N why do you have Criss's phone". "Shaunyl hi it fell out of his pocket I invited him over to my house what can I do for you?". "Well I wanted to tell him Johnny's doctor gave him the OK and my sister is bringing him to Las Vegas so he should be there soon" she remarked. "I'll let Criss know" and hung up as your uncle Jimmy who's a cop came in. "Uncle Jimmy can you do me a huge favor and I'll do anything in return". "What's that?".
"My friend Criss his son is coming and I want to surprise Criss do you think you could pick him up". "Sure". You show your uncle a picture of Johnny and he leaves. When you come back out Criss is ready to leave. "You can't go just yet Christopher let me find my niece Mimi if she finds out you were here and didn't meet you she'll never forgive herself". "All right" and followed you into the living room where you see your niece talking to your mother. "Mom can I borrow Mimi for a minute?". Mimi gets up and walks with you. "Thank you I thought my ear was about to fall off" she remarked. "Well I have a surprise for you I'd like you to meet Criss my neighbor".
When Mimi saw Criss she nearly passed out. "Your aunt tells me you're a fan of mine". As they talk you see your uncle's police car pull up and you see him help Johnny out. "Mimi I need to borrow Criss for a minute than you can have him back" you said. Mimi goes back into the living room as Criss takes a deep breath. "You weren't kidding about being a fan". "You have a surprise and I ask my uncle to pick it up so close your eyes".
He closes his eyes and you bring him outside. As you close the door your uncle brings Johnny over and you take his hand. "All right Criss open them". Criss opens his eyes and he nearly starts to tear up when he sees his son. "Daddy" he said with his arms out. Criss picks him up and hugs him as tears start to flow.
"Shaunyl called to tell you Johnny got the OK from his doctor to come to Vegas and I wanted to surprise you" smiling. "Thanks Y/N just what I needed to lift my spirits". "Hungry". "I think we can get you a sandwich Johnny come on". When Johnny was brought in everyone who saw him could tell he belonged to Criss. As the party ran down Criss thanked you again for the invite and his Christmas surprise. "No problem now here's some cookies for Santa Johnny all right" giving him a little bag of cookies. "Thwank you" Johnny said as they went back to the house.
