IMAGINE: It's Christmas eve and Rachel is watching Johnny as Criss had to do one more show before he took the week off for some much needed rest. At the house Rachel and Johnny are on the computer following Santa when Rachel noticed Johnny didn't look good. "You all right buddy" feeling his head which is warm to the touch.
She bring Johnny to the bathroom to take his temp and it was 103.5 "Oh buddy looks like we need to go to the ER you've got a hi fever". "Will Santie find me?"he asked as she put his coat on. "You know he will and I'll make sure Santa has cookie and milk and a note to find you come on" and left. At his theater Criss was getting ready to do his next illusion when Chloe ran up to him and said that Rachel had to take Johnny to the ER for a high fever. Criss took a deep breath.
"Chloe make sure my car is ready to go just give me a second" and ran to the stage. At the hospital Rachel was with Johnny as the doctor ran some tests on Johnny than Criss walked in. "Daddy" Johnny called out. "Hey Johnny" giving him a hug. "I talked to the doctor it seems Johnny's anemic and dehydrated they also think Johnny may have a staph infection that caused the fever". Then Johnny threw up all over the bed and on Criss. "Nurse I need some help over here" Rachel called out.
Thanks Johnny Criss thought as the vomit ran down his legs. The nurse came over and gave Criss some scrubs to change into. As Criss came out and started back he heard a commotion around Johnny's bed. He ran over to see a bunch of people surrounding the bed. Criss saw over one of the nurse's shoulder Johnny having a tube put down his throat Rachel pulled Criss aside and informed him that after he left Johnny's fever spiked and he had a seizure.
The doctor wanted to protect Johnny's airway. Criss was panicking on the inside as he felt helpless. The doctor came over and informed Criss Johnny was septic. "Will he survive?"he asked. "I'm not sure his fever is quite hi excuse me" and the doctor left. After hearing that Criss's knee were on the verge of buckling so Rachel sat him down. "Christopher don't think the worse Johnny is going to be all right". "I-I-I should call his mother Shaunyl-". "Is on her way I called her and your brothers you need your family right now" she stated.
Tears started to fall down Criss's face. "I-I-I can't lose him Rachel I just can't" as he started to cry. Rachel gave him a hug as he cried on her shoulder. After they got Johnny into a room Criss stayed with him as Rachel went to the house to do what Johnny asked her to do: she left milk and cookies for Santa but with a note that said:
DEAR SANTA
ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS FOR JOHNNY TO KEEP FIGHTING NOT TO GIVE UP WHILE HE'S IN THE HOSPITAL RIGHT NOW. PLEASE SEE IF YOU CAN HELP IN ANY WAY.
When Rachel returned Criss was looking out the window. "Criss I brought you some clean clothes for you" giving him the bag. "Thanks Rachel". "Why don't you change I'll stay with Johnny". She walked into the room as Criss went to change. She saw how peaceful Johnny was even thou a machine was breathing for him. She went into her bag and took out a little black teddy bear. "Here Johnny he's always been with me through the good times and bad I think you need him now than I do" and put it under the blanket than put Johnny's arm around him.
She gave Johnny a kiss and sat down. Criss came in and saw Rachel had fallen asleep. Criss decided to let her sleep as Criss sat in a pulled out chair and fell asleep himself. At Criss's house a mysterious man walked in as eight reindeers and a sleigh were outside. The man saw the note and smiled. When he came out he told his reindeers he had to make a pit stop.
At the hospital Santa snuck in under the cloak of darkness and went into Johnny's room. He looked as Criss and Rachel were asleep at Johnny's side. Santa felt like crying when he saw Johnny hooked up to a breathing machine. Santa left some presents on a small side table than Santa carefully walked over to Johnny and whispered something into his ear than gave him a kiss. The next day a beeping sound woke up Criss and Rachel.
They looked up as the nurse came in. "Is something wrong?" Criss inquired. "No he's breathing on his own and his fever broke". She got the doctor and he took the tube out of Johnny's throat. Johnny coughed a little as Criss gave him some water. "Will run a blood panel and see how the infection is and we'll let you know" the doctor remarked and left. "Hey buddy merry Christmas I'm sorry we don't have present right now". Johnny pointed to the table and Rachel saw the gifts. "I wonder where they came from?".
Criss brought them over. "There's one for you, Johnny, and me" Criss said. Johnny opens his first and out popped a stuffed bunny. Criss chuckled. When Criss opened his gift he started to tear up. "You OK Daddy". "Yea I'm fine buddy" wiping the tears off his face. "What is it Criss?" she asked. "It's a picture of me and my dad my mom took years ago I thought it got destroyed" he replied. When Rachel opened her gift she nearly got knocked out.
It was a ring with a note for Criss. Criss opened it and started to snicker. "What?". "I was going to do this at the house while we were opening gifts but I guess Santa had other plans Rachel will you marry me?". Rachel smiled as Johnny nodded his head in happiness. "Yes I would Christopher". Criss gave her a hug . A year had passed and Criss and Rachel were married with a little one on the way. As they walked The Luxor with Johnny a man accidently knocked into Criss.
"Sorry" the man said and kept on walking. Johnny turned around and the man winked at Johnny as he left. "Santie" Johnny called out. "No honey that wasn't Santa come on we-" Rachel stopped and looked down. "Something wrong?" Criss asked. "I-I think my water just broke". Criss saw the puddle on the ground as Johnny smiled. "Sis coming?". "Looks like it come on before we have an audience " and they left. As Criss helped Rachel into the car Johnny looked up as a shadow floated through the air.
