It's a humid day and Denise is sitting in a coffee shop in the AC waiting for her ride when a little kid walks in sweating as a man walks in with him. The man walks over to the napkins and wipes the sweat off the child's face. "Not a great time for the AC to break down. Let me call a tow truck".
She sees the little boy sitting there thirsty so you buy a bottle of water for the little kid. "Here you go nice and cold for a day like this" she said handing him the bottle. "Thanks you" he replied. Denise goes back to her seat as his father walks in. He sits down and asked the child where he got the water. The little kid points to Denise who is reading. The man walks over to her and thanks her for the water.
"No problem he looked like he needed it" she reply with a smile. "Would you like to sit with us". "Ok" and walk over. She talks to both of them about where they were going and stuff. "So you're visiting your grammie with your dad and your AC just died". "Yea great time for that to happen during a humid day I think I lost ten pounds in water just stopping here" as you chuckle.
A person comes in asking if someone called a tow truck. Criss walks up to the guy and said he did so they go outside to look at the car so Denise and Johnny follows. The guy looks under the car and said he can fix it but it will be five hundred dollars. "Are you nuts?" Criss asked shocked.
"Nope and it's a hundred fifty addition for towing". Something didn't seems right so Denise took a look at it. "Hey jack ass where did you learn auto mechanics from a chop shop?"she inquired. "What do you know about cars little lady". "I know for one thing it's not going to cost him five hundred to fix a hole in one of the hoses," she stated.
"Also your boss he doesn't charge for towing so unless you want me to call your boss and tell them your scamming people I'd get the hell out of here". The guy get into his truck and leaves before she get the plate of his car. Criss is in shock standing there. "Criss why don't you go inside and soak up some AC with your son buy him something on me" giving him a ten.
They go back in as she makes a phone call. "Hey Robert it's Denise look one of your employees tried to scam a person he's driving truck #74 you may need to talk to him or fire him before he pulls this again" and hangs up as her brother rolls in. "What took you so long Chase a snail could of been here before you". "Very funny I had to help mom with a rude guy at the lot you ready to go" he asked. "Is dad still at the garage".
"Yea why?". "You know Sam that idiot who works for Uncle Robert he tried to con a guy until I caught him I already reported him to Uncle Robert". "What was the problem?". "Hole in one of the AC hoses do you think dad could fix it for them" I asked. "Let me call dad" and went to get his phone as she walks in. She sees Criss left his hat so she sits down as her brother walks in.
"Hey Marylyn one extra cold ice coffee to go. I talked to dad and he has the parts so why don't you get your friend and I'll hook up the car". "He took his son to the men's room". Chase grabbed and paid for his ice coffee and went outside as Criss and Johnny came back. "I got some good news for you I know a guy who fix your car right now".
"Seriously" he stated surprise. "Yes my brother is hooking it up right now. Let's go before we miss the ride". When they all got to the garage her dad was waiting. "Thanks for doing this dad" as she lets Criss and Johnny out from the back seat. "No problem and this must be your car sir" shaking his hand. "It's Criss and thanks for doing this" he replied. "No trouble why don't you sit in the office where it's cool and I'll have this done in no time". They all walk in and cold just hits them in the face.
"Mom you make this place any colder I can make this place into a meat locker" as she comes out. "I hate the hot sweetie and who is this little angel" looking at Johnny as he blushed. "My son Johnny" Criss remarked. "Well he's cute as a button reminds me of your brother at this age" she remarked as Criss chuckled.
"My mother says the same thing every time she sees him which reminds me I should call her before she sends out every cop in the tri county area". "If you need privacy just go into that office right there while me and my daughter will look out for this lovably tyke". "Be good Johnny" and Criss went into the office. When he comes back out Denise is sitting at the desk as Johnny is sitting on her lap.
"Now what's the saying?". "No money no car" he replied as Criss chuckles. "I think your son a natural working here" she remarked. "I don't think his mother would like that" he replied as her father came in. "Your car is all fixed and ready to go". "YEA!!" Johnny called out as my father snickered. "How much do I owe you?" Criss asked about to take out his wallet.
"On the house Criss we always love to help out the locals here that's why everyone loves the Johnson's garage and tow yard" he replied. "First name Walter?" Criss asked. "After my father he and I opened this place years ago" he replied. "Did you know a John and Dimitra Sarantakos?" Criss inquired.
"Of course John lent me the money to open the place with my dad. I told him I'd pay him back every cent but he told me just to do a good deed for people and they'll pay it back to you" he remarked. "Well I think you've come full circle sir my father was the one to lent you that money" Criss stated smiling. "Christopher holy moly the last time I saw you and your brothers you had hair all the way down to your back". "Well I have changed since than I'll have to tell my mother about this".
"Dimitra that spit fire is still alive"he stated. "And still a spit fire when it comes to me and my illusions I do"Criss replied. "Come on dad let's let Criss and his son get home before they shack up with us tonight" Denise suggested. "OK". Before Criss left Walter told Criss to have his mother stop by he's like to see her again. "I'll let her know thanks again" and they left.
