"Can I just call you Mommy Maine?"

"What?!" both Richard and Maine said at the same time. They were both shocked with Sebastian's question and both of them were turning red.

"Can I just call you Mommy Maine? You see, I don't have a mom anymore. I do have a Dad, but I don't have a mom." Sebastian is now looking at Maine then continued, "Then Dad and you can just get married so that we can be a real family." Sebastian is looking from Maine to Richard then back to Maine looking expectantly and hopeful with those puppy dog eyes.

Richard sensing that Baste is waiting for a response he carried Baste and spoke to him. "Baste, baby... Uuummmm... it doesn't work like that."

"Why? Don't you like Dr. Maine?" Sebastian asked his father. "Don't you want us to be a family?"

"I do. Of course I do love her. And I want us to be family." Richard answered. "But it's a little complicated Baby."

Sebastian is now looking sad and was about to cry. He then turned to Maine as if asking for an answer. Maine then looked at Sebastian and spoke, "Hey Baste. Don't cry." Maine then wiped the tears that are threatening to flow from Sebastian's eyes and then she spoked. "Will you feel better if you call me Mommy?" she asked with a smile.

Sebastian's face immediately lift up and he smiled. "Really? You want to be my mom?" he asked hopefully.

"Yes, baby. From now on you can call me 'Mommy'. And you're my baby. Does that sounds good?"

"Yes!" he then acted like he wanted Maine carry him as he opens his arms towards Maine. Seeing this gesture, Maine took the cue and get Baste from Richard's arm and hugged him.

"I love you mommy!" Baste said and kissed Maine on her cheeks.

"I love you too Baby!" Maine answered and kissed Sebastian back.

Sebastian then turned to Richard and said, "Dad, I'm hungry."

This made both Richard and Maine laugh out loud again.

"Okay, buddy. We will have dinner soon." Richard said. Then he turned to Maine and asked, "Can I invite you to join us for dinner?"

"It depends." Maine answered with a smile.

"It depends on what?" Richard asked.

"On where are we eating." She replied in jest.

"Oh don't worry, I'm sure you'll like the place where we will eat." Richard answered.

"Okay then. Let's go." Maine agreed.

Richard then guided Maine and carried Sebastian going to the parking lot. Since Maine didn't brought her car today, she will be riding with the father and son. Once they were settled in the car, Maine then asked, "So where are we headed?"

"Hahaha. Actually, my mom insisted that the next time I invite you for dinner, I should bring you to their house." Richard said. "She said, that she will cook for you. So I told her I will pick you up today and you will be joining us for dinner."

"Really, now? What if I said no? What will you do?" Maine challenged him with a smile.

"I'll make sure you won't say no." Richard said.

"And how will you do that?"

"Well, I have my ways. Besides, can you say no to that young boy at the back?" Richard gestured towards Baste who is now playing with his Iron Man.

"Hahaha... Nice try. You know my weakness." Maine answered.

Richard was now beaming with his smile as he drives home. The radio was on, and both Maine and Baste started singing together with the song being played on the radio.

The dinner went on smoothly. The parents of Richard were very happy that Maine was able to join them for dinner. They can see that Sebastian really likes Maine and are really happy that Maine also shows enthusiasm and affection towards Sebastian in return.

After dinner, Sebastian tugged Maine's hand to get her attention once again.

"Mommy Maine, can you read me a bed time story?" Sebastian said with puppy dog eyes.

Richard was about to tell Sebastian that he'll do it instead, but Maine foretold him.

"Of course, I will, anything for you baby." Maine said and kissed Sebastian's cheeks. "Now, why don't we go to your room and prepare you for bed?"

Sebastian smiled widely and looked at the rest of the Faulkersons. He then approached his grandparents and said, "Good night Papsie! Good night Momsie!" and he kissed both of the elder Faulkersons afterwards. He then went to Richard and said, "Good night Daddy!" He then hugged his father and kissed him.

"Good night Baby!" Richard said in response.

Baste then went to hold Maine's hand and led her to his room.

When Maine and Sebastian were gone, the rest of the Faulkersons went to the living room to have some coffee. Richard and his father were just discussing the progress of the hospital when Richard's mom suddenly spoke, "Richard, when will you propose to Maine?"

The question caught Richard off-guard as he turned red as he looks at his parents. "Wh-what?"

"Son, don't tell me you're still unsure of Maine?" his father said.

"Of course not. I do like her. Heck, I do love her."

"Then what's stopping you?"

"Nothing. I'm just waiting for the right time?"

"Right time? Richard, when I saw your mom walking at one of our buildings, I already know she's the one. I went straight to her and asked her out on that same day. After just a week, I already proposed to her." His father said pointedly.

"Dad, I know. You've told me that a hundred times already."

"Then, what are you saying about right time?"

"Maine is different Dad." He looks at his mom and smiled. "What two have is someone I also wanted for us, but I don't want to force myself to Maine. I'm willing to wait until she's ready."

"You know son, sometimes women needs to be forced." His father said with a chuckle.

"Richard darling, we, women prefer a man who takes control in our relationship. We may not admit it openly but we also wanted someone who is willing put their foot down on certain things and tell us what we wanted." His mother said.

Before Richard and answer, Maine emerged from the other room.

"So, is the little kiddo already asleep?" Rose said to Maine when she saw her.

"Yes, Tita. He immediately fell asleep in the middle of the story." Maine said with a smile.

"Coffee?" Richard's dad offered.

"Thanks Tito. I think I will pass. I might not be able to sleep when I get home."

"Well, it seems like you're already tired. Richard, why don't you bring Maine home." Rose said.

"No, Tita. It's alright. I can just call a cab instead. It's already late, and I know Richard is also tired."

"What? Of course not. I will bring you home. No arguments." Richard immediately stood up and approached her. He looked directly at Maine daring her to argue.

The intensity of how Richard looks at Maine tells her that she will not win this argument and so she just smiled and said, "Okay. You're the boss."

"Well, you two better go now." Richard's father then said. He was looking at Richard with a naughty smile.

"Yeah, we better go." Richard said.

"Tito, Tita thank you for inviting me tonight. I really enjoyed the night." Maine said as she kissed Richard's mom.

"You're welcome Hija. I'll expect you to be back again soon." Rose said.

"Hahaha. Of course Tita. Just let me know and I will free my schedule."

The older Faulkersons walk them to the door and then they were off.
