Chapter 41

It's a Sunday night, Richard and Maine is cuddling at Maine's place and they just finished watching a movie, "Definitely, Maybe".

"That was nice." Maine said.

"Nice? What's nice?" Richard asked clearly puzzled with what Maine said. He's now leaning in to kiss Maine.

"The movie. That ending was really something."

"And why is that?" Richard again asked.

"Well, it's like us." Maine replied.

"In what sense." Richard further asked.

"Well, it was Maya (the kid on the movie) who made her dad finally realize that she's in love with the girl." Maine said pointedly.

"Yeah. But how did that become like us. I have known that I'm in love with you since the day you told me to wear that white scrub suit." Richard said on teasing voice with a smirk on his face.

Maine immediately blushed remembering their first encounter. She then lightly hit Richard in his arms. "That's not what I mean." Maine then buried her face to Richard's neck.

Richard then kissed Maine on the forehead before he asked, "Then, what do you mean?"

When Maine didn't answer, Richard slowly hold Maine's head so that he can look at her eyes. "Hey, what do you mean?"

"I meant me. I'm like Ryan Reynolds' character. I should have realized it sooner that I love you. I shouldn't have made you wait so long."

"You are always worth the wait, Love. I will always be willing to wait for you." Richard said as he kiss Maine's lips.

"Thank you. Thank you for not giving up on me." Maine said.

"I promise you this, I will never give up on you. Thank you too for having the courage to see me even if I was avoiding you." Richard said.

"I was determined to find you. I said to myself, even if I have to beg you I will. I can't lose you." Maine said as she was about to sob.

"Hey, don't cry." Richard placed both of his palms on either side of Maine's face. "You're far too important to me. I promise, you won't lose me. I won't let you go."

"Promise?" Maine asked.

"Promise. I will always be here for you." Richard said. "Always." He then kissed Maine again.

That kissed escalated and became more passionate as each moment passes. Ricard's hands are now roaming on Maine's body as he tries to lay Maine on the couch. The kiss is becoming hot as each second passes by. Maine's hand is snaked through Richard's hair as she holds his head. When they emerged from their scorching kisses to get some air, Richard took that opportunity to kiss Maine's jaw, to her neck, on back of her ear. Richard further kiss Maine on the neck and he continues to go down on her neck until he reaches her collar bone. He suck on it.

"Uhhhmmm, Richard..." Maine moaned.

"Ahhhh.... Love..." Richard moaned as he continues to kiss Maine.

Richard was about to kiss Maine again on her lips when suddenly Richard's phone rings.

"Love, you're phone." Maine said.

"Hmmm, don't bother that." Richard said as he continues to kiss her.

"But it might be important." Maine answered as she kisses back.

When the ringing continues, Maine said "Love, answer it please."

Richard let out a loud sigh and kissed Maine's lips lightly before sitting properly with Maine also fixing her blouse as she settles beside Richard again. Richard then reached to his pocket to get his phone.
