Llyr POV*
"I want every seelie knight out there searching for her day and night until she is found!?" The king bellowed his orders to the men gathered around his throne, his screams echoing throughout the room, reaching the main halls, I'm sure. The men shuffled their feet nervously, unsettled with the news of their missing princess and afraid to have the king's anger directed toward them for not being able to locate her sooner. "Find her!"
I was sick with worry for Samia as well. Everyone was. The scene at the club was disturbing and I have no clue as to who could have done such a thing to one of our knights. Aerys was un-liked in the palace but his death has cast a dark cloud over us all. Our only hope is that whoever was behind all of this wants Samia alive or else we would have found her body as well..
I grimaced to myself even imagining it, my love was captured and out there somewhere, I felt helpless standing here when I should be out there continuing to search for her. I should have never left her side. I had tried countless times to call her telepathically but it was as if there was something blocking our connection. Every time I try to push against the barrier keeping me from her, something forces the link back to me with a forceful shock. My head ached with the strain of trying so many times.
The men cleared the room acting out on their orders while I stayed behind to speak with the king. When we were alone, I walked up to him and cleared my throat.
"Llyr, you have been my trusted guard for centuries. I trust you with my life and my daughter. I will be fine with just Eros... Please, go find her. I'm counting on you."
I bowed slightly and replied, "I will do my best to find the princess, your highness."
Outside the palace, I noticed Cain looking out towards the gardens. His eyes were glazed over and he appeared to be deep in thought.
Just as I was about to continue on my way, he said, "I'm coming with you."
"I beg your pardon?" The last thing I wanted was to have him slow me down, or worse, get under my skin even more than he already has.
"I said, I'm coming with you." Just as I was about to protest he continued, "As much as we do not get along, we have one thing in common. We both love Samia. We need to work together for her sake whether we like it or not. Her rescue and safety is more important than our rivalry."
I sighed defeatedly and agreed, "Fine."

Samia POV*
I chewed quietly on a small berry as I pondered over my current situation. Something was wrong. My powers should have returned by now.
you need to feed...
The nagging voice in my head began to stir again. Feed?
I stared at the half-bitten berry in my hand. My gaze traveled from my fingertips down to my palm and then landed on my wrist. Faintly, I could see my pulse beating against my skin.
blood...
I angrily threw the berry back on the serving tray in an effort to dissolve the delusions from my mind. As I reached my arm back my necklace slipped out of my shirt. But ofcourse!
I remembered my necklace and the note about it coming of use should I find myself in trouble! Just as I began to examine it the doorknob turned and Stephan walked in the room.
I brushed my hair out of my face nervously as I dropped the orb from my hands.
"I brought you some clothes."
He placed them softly beside me. They didn't look new so I started to wonder where he had gotten them. My imagination began to run wild while jealousy bloomed in my chest of the possibility that they could belong to an old lover's of his. Or current? I felt my face frown as the images of someone else wearing the garments played in my mind.
"They are my sister's." I tore my gaze away from the offensive articles with a slight gasp as I realized how obvious I was being. I looked up to see him with a gentle look on his face.
"You have a sister?" I automatically found myself interested in knowing more about my mate.
Wow. Did I just admit that to myself? Well you won't catch me saying it out loud.
"Dahlia. She recently found her mate and moved in with him. Her old room is just down this hall." He gestered behind himself. He seemed lighter when he spoke about her. The whisper of a smile peeking through his perfect lips. "She was in such a hurry to be with him that she left most of her things behind." He chuckled to himself as he continued, "Anyway, she's just about your size so I figured you would be more comfortable in something that fits."
I looked back down at the clothes and let the paranoia slip away, "Thank you."
He crept closer to me and reached out to hold my cheek. Bringing my face up to meet his eyes, he lowered himself nose to nose with me. The specs of gold in his hazel eyes seemingly holding me in a trance as he brushed his lips softly against mine.
The hunger that seemed to have festered within me had finally reached the surface of my being. I pounced on him so suddenly that it caught him by surprise and he fell back onto the ground, leaving me straddled over his chest. I kissed him with such ferocity that I scared myself with feelings of not just attraction for this man, but love?
He got over the initial shock of my blatant attack and slipped his fingers in my hair as I continued my assault on his mouth.
He gently pulled my hair as I nipped at his lip in a desperate frenzy. I needed him so badly that only our two bodies melding into one would I be able to satisfy the growing hunger inside of me. I hadn't noticed how hard I bit his lip until the metallic taste of his blood filled my mouth.
Just when I thought I would pull away, something clicked inside of me and everything suddenly made sense. My gums burned painfully as my incisors began to elongate.
Unbemused to Stephan, I trailed my newly grown fangs to his jaw and then down to his neck to hover over his pounding pulse. It was beating so invitingly sweet, slowly drawing me in..
I was so entranced by the call of his blood that I just now felt he had pushed our garments to the side and was pressed against me hesitantly asking my permission.
As I opened my mouth, I gave him the answer he sought by widening my legs and allowing him to enter me just as I pierced his throat in return.
That is how I came to be a vampyre-faerie hybrid who sealed her fate as a werewolf's mate for an eternity... and you thought your life was complicated?
