Getting started

Jace and I got to our sponsor, Sally, and walked into her office.

"Hello." Jace and I said, as we walked in.

"Hi, what would you like to discuss?"

"We got a place, but now we need some furniture." I explained.w

"Ok, what were you thinking?"

"Well, to start, we want to get a front desk, and then some couches and chairs."

"Ok, well, you can find what you want and send it to me to order."

"Ok, we want that for the downstairs, and we still have to look at the upstairs."

"Go ahead and look for that then and we can do the upstairs furniture later."

"Alright, we'll get to it then."

"Great, see you later."

"Bye." We said, as we left.

"I like this one." I told Jace, as we looked at catalogs.

"It's nice."

"Yeah, I like the dark color, for the desk."

"Me too. Ok, so what about the lobby furniture?"

"That's in this catalog." I said, grabbing another book, and putting it in front of us.

"Those are ok." He said, pointing to a couch.

"Yeah, but this one's better." I pointed to one on the next page.

"Ok, it is. Do you want to get that one?"

"Ok, do you want to get the dark blue cloth?"

"That looks good, let's do that."

"Ok, so we know the desk, the couch, and I assume we'll get matching chairs for the couch."

"Sounds good, is that all of it?"

"I think so, I can mail this to Sally, and she can order this stuff for us."

"Ok, well that's done."

"Yep, what's next?"

"I suppose we could look at the upstairs."

"We can do that, and drop this off in the mail on the way." He said, grabbing the catalog.

"Yeah." I replied, as we started walking.

We walked, mostly in silence, because I didn't feel like talking to much. We eventually got there, and went upstairs. The rooms were surprisingly clean, and just needed beds.

"It's going to cost a lot to buy beds for all these."

"We could start with just a few beds, and get more as we get busier."

"Sounds good, so what do you think?"

"Well, there's about seven of us, from the house."

"So we should do about 12 rooms, have a couple extra for new people."

"That's still a lot, could some of us share?"

"I guess, we already share now."

"Ok, so Jupiter would share with River, obviously."

"Ok."

"And we could put Lara with Leo."

"Sounds fine."

"And you with Kat-"

"What?" I asked, still a little weary of Kat, especially when she's drunk.

"Yeah, that's ok, right?"

"Umm, sure." I said unconvincingly.

"Well, if you don't-"

"It's fine, it's all in my head."

"Ok, well what about you, me, and Kat?"

"That's fine." I said, feeling better about not being alone with Kat.

"Great, so that narrows it down to 3 rooms for us, and add like 4 extras?"

"Yeah, so seven rooms."

"Let's tell Sally."

"Ok, after that, can we move in here then?"

"I think so, when all this gets ordered."

"I'm so excited."

"I know, me too."

We walked to Sally's office, and gave her the catalog instead of mailing it. Also, we picked beds to order too. After that, we walked home and sat in our room.

"So, how are you?"

"I'm ok, I'm excited about the LGBT center."

"Me too, our furniture should be here in a few days."

"Yeah, then we can move in and start helping people."

"It's getting late, and it's been a long day. I think I'll go to bed now." I stated.

"Me too, goodnight." Jace replied.

"Goodnight."
