"Where do you want to go?" I asked Jace as we walked.
"Nowhere in particular, we can just walk."
"Ok."
"I don't know what to talk about." I stated as we walked.
"We don't have to talk."
"Ok."
We walked for a while, mostly in silence, until I stopped in my tracks.
"What are you doing?" Jace asked as he stopped with me.
"Umm. My- my parents."
"What about them?"
"They're... here, they're here."
"What? Where?"
"There." I said, pointing to them.
"What should we do?"
"Let's just walk." I said, continuing to walk in their direction."
"I don't know." Jace said, following behind me.
We were walking past them, and my pace slowed noticeably, as I neared them.
"Ari, we shouldn't confront them, let's just leave it alone." Jace said, and I turned around to face him.
"It's fine, I'll just walk b-" I was cut off, as I tumbled to the ground, and fell on top of Jace.
"I'm sorr-" My dad started, as he realized we ran into each other. "Actually, no I'm not." He said, as he realized it was me.
"Mom? Dad?"
"No, because you aren't our daughter anymore."
"Seriously? Like I even want to be your daughter."
"How could you betray us like that? How could you take everything we'd done for you and throw it away?"
"How could you throw me away? How could you throw away your daughter, yes your daughter, because she didn't turn out like you wanted?"
"Well-"
"No, you can't come up with anything, because there's no reason to throw your own child out of your house."
"I'd watch that tone if I were you."
"I'm sorry, but you're not my dad anymore. I can talk to you however I want."
"Look." He said as he grabbed my shoulders and punched me against a wall. "You are a disgrace to our family, and you did not deserve to live under our roof for so long."
"You look, you didn't deserve to know me, and in fact you never really knew me."
"Just go away, and we won't ever need to see each other again."
"Like I want to see you again."
"You were lucky to have me as a father."
"I was lucky?! I was lucky to have a father that kicked me out, and disowned me?! Jace, did you know that was-" I was cut off as my dad punched the right side of my face.
"Now, you can just go away." He said, as he pushed me to the ground.
Jace helped me up, as they walked away.
"Anything?! I can tell you anything? Because that's what you told me!" I yelled, as they walked.
"Are you ok?" Jace asked me.
"Fine." I said, trying to move on, and just walk again.
"Are you sure?" Jace asked, as he caught up with me.
"Yes, I'm fine." I said, looking at the ground.
"Hey." Jace said, as he grabbed my shoulder and turned me to him. "you're... you're bleeding." Jace said, as he put his hand to my face.
"Stop, I'm fine." I said as I looked away.
"Doesn't it hurt?"
"Yeah, but I'm fine. I just want to go home."
"Ok." He agreed, but I had already taken off.
I didn't know where I was going, but I just wanted to get home somehow. My vision was blurred through the tears, and I wasn't sure where I was going. I was just running as fast as I could, hoping that I would get to that point where I couldn't feel anything. I started getting tired, and before I knew it, I had hit the ground.
I felt immediate pain in my arm, as I laid on the ground. I didn't care, all I could do is lay on the ground, I didn't even want to get up. My breathing was heavy, from running, and I felt numb. The only thing I could feel, was my arm. I just laid there, and continued to cry on the ground. I couldn't keep myself from breaking down any longer.
