You are not alone

An offer

The next day, we woke up next to each other. I felt happy, but it still wasn't the type of closeness I wanted with him. I was left in my thoughts for a few minutes, until he woke up after me.

"What are you thinking about?" He asked.

"Not much."

"Ok, you ready to start working on this LGBT center?"

"Yes." I said, as we stood up and walked out.

Neither one of us said much on the way. We finally made it back, and I walked up to Jupiter.

"Hey Jupiter."

"How's it going?" She asked.

"It's ok, I haven't really seen much of you lately."

"Yeah, I've just kind of been around."

"We got our first sponsor for the LGBT center." I announced.

"Great!" She said with excitement.

"Yeah, we're going to start looking at buildings today."

"Really?"

"Yeah, we figured a building is the place to start, we need a place to do this at."

"Very true, well I'm excited for you."

"Thanks, and I'd really like you to help us with this."

"What would you need me to do?"

"Well, we're going to need help running it, once we get it started."

"Ok, I'll help."

"Great!"

"We should probably start looking." Jace interrupted.

"You're right, let's go." I started walking. "Bye Jupiter." I shouted back, as we walked out.

We walked around, looking at some buildings that were listed for sale, in town. The first few that we looked at were too small; and a lot of them that were a good size, were above our budget.

We had been looking around for a few weeks, for a building. We were running out of options. Then Jace came up to me, with a listing for a place in town.

"We have to look here." He stated.

"Why?"

"It's perfect, it's just what we're looking for."

"Really?"

"Yeah, it's big enough."

"What about the price?"

"It's in our price range."

"Seriously?"

"Yeah, what do you think?"

"I think it sounds perfect."

"Great, let's go look at it." He said, as he grabbed my arm.

"Ok." I answered and ran with him.

We got to the place, and it wasn't too far from where we were staying. It was in town, which was a good location. We walked through, and there were plenty of rooms, and it was set up nice for what we wanted.

"What do you think?" Jace asked after looking around.

"I think it's perfect." I answered.

"Do you want to make an offer?"

"Yeah, I think this is where we should make this center."

"Great, come with me and we can go talk to the seller." He grabbed my hand and we walked to the front room.

"Hi." We said, as we walked up to the realtor.

"Hello, so what do you guys think?"

"We like it." I said.

"We want to put in an offer." Jace followed with.

"Ok, great. What were you thinking?" the realtor asked.

Jace looked at me. "The asking price is very reasonable, and in our price range." He told me.

"I agree, I think we should do asking price."

"Ok, asking price is what it is then."

"Ok, great. I will tell the sellers, and get back to you."

"Ok, thank you." We both replied, and we walked out.

"I feel good about this place, I can picture everything here." I said, looking at the front of the building.

"It is nice." Jace agreed.

"I like it."

"Me too." He said, as we started walking home.

We walked inside, once we got home. I walked up to Jupiter and told her the good news.

"We made an offer on a place." I told her, as I sat next to her on our bed

"Great, what do you think? You think you'll get it?"

"Yeah, and it's a great place, it's huge and has plenty of rooms in it."

"Really? What was it like?"

"Well, it used to be like an old hotel type building, and it went out of business. There was a big main lobby, and a lot of different conference type rooms on the main floor. All the other floors were mostly bedrooms."

"Sounds great!"

"Yeah, it needs some work, with a little refiguring for our purpose."

"It sounds perfect."

"Yeah, we just have to wait for the seller to get back to us about our offer."

"Awesome. It's getting late, we should really get some sleep."

"Yeah, I guess we should." I said, as I laid down and happily let sleep take over.
