——— 後悔と嘘 ———

Megan spent the next few days, drowning in her own regret. She would curl up on her hospital bed and refused to let anybody visit her.

All she could think about was Joseph.

Guilt built up inside her every time she thought of Joseph – how she indirectly killed him, about how he had a whole lifetime to look forward to and about how Death chose to save her instead of him.

She didn't deserved to live.

She deserved to die, not Joseph.

And yet no matter how much she thought about this, it won't revive Joseph; it revives the feeling of hatred, anger and so much more.

She tried to tell herself everyday: You deserve to live Megan. You need to accept this scarred face of yours.

But the more she tried to believe this, the more she knew she was lying to herself.
