It was times like this that Megan finally understood what loneliness really meant.
Megan could feel herself breaking every single time she did the same routine each day - go to school and go home.
It was boring but it couldn't be helped. After all, nobody wants to be friends with an ugly girl.
Megan tried to cover her scar with make up but it only served to emphasise her scar, resulting in more insults being thrown at her.
She tried to fake a smile and carry on; pretending everything was fine despite the several gossips about her swirling around in the campus.
After all perhaps if she kept smiling and lying that she was alright, one day she would be blessed with the love she dearly missed.
It was a lie and Megan knew it. She hated herself for believing and clinging onto the pathetic hope that one day, she would learn to love those who turned their backs on them and be loved by others.
It was plain stupid but where the waves are swallowing and drowning Megan slowly, Megan could only cling onto fake hopes that'll break her even more.
