Megan slid her books quietly as the last few of her classmates walked out of the classroom.
It was finally the end of the school day and tomorrow was the weekends which meant two days of hell for both her mother and herself.
Megan picked up her light blue canvas bag and made her way to the exit of the classroom only to be stopped by Natalia.
"Hey Megan..." Her voice trailed off as she glanced at the state of the entire classroom.
Natalia's cyan then met Megan's eyes before boldly asking,"Could you clean up the classroom for me? I know it's my shift today but I have some piano lessons later so..."
Megan knew she was lying because Natalia stopped taking piano lessons a year ago. But before she could 'No', Natalia flashed a smile and shoved the broom she held into Megan's arms before hastily making her way out of the door.
Megan sighed as she could feel tears on the verge of spilling once more. This wasn't the first time one of her 'friends' asked her to do their cleaning shift.
She knew she could say 'No' but she felt weak whenever she wanted to say it.
And so all she did is collect herself and do the cleaning.
