Megan's mother eventually left when it was the afternoon. The room was once again silent as usual when her mother had left her.
The day on went as per normal; Carly fed her food, she took a wonderful shit on the toilet and just the usual routine basically.
Soon enough it was eight o'clock in the night and Megan was eating her dinner, consisting of mushroom soup and a bottle of water.
Megan ate quietly; finishing the food before Carly came in to take away the tray. It was only a quarter past eight o'clock by the time Carly took away the food tray and Megan still had forty - five minutes all to herself before it was time for her to sleep.
Megan let herself slip back into the thoughts of Duncan. She wondered if his mother had a successful surgery. She hated to imagine what would happen if his mother died.
It would be her story retold from his perspective but perhaps things for him would go better.
Megan let out a stifled yawn as she laid her head against the pillow and stared at the ceiling, thoughts swirling in her brain like a tornado.
Eventually it was nearly quarter to nine and Megan had decided to just shed off any worries about Duncan since she'll be hopefully meeting Duncan tomorrow.
At that moment, as if he heard her call out her name, the doors swung open to reveal a tired Duncan standing in the doorway.
