It was not until a month after getting into the hospital that Megan was finally discharged.
If she was the old Megan, she wouldn't have been more than exhilarated about getting home.
But now when she got home, all she did was walk like a zombie towards her room where she then proceeded to shut herself in.
She could feel the shift in atmosphere. The house that usually bustled with activities now seemed dead.
And that was because of her.
It was the same at school too.
Whenever Megan tried to approach her group of friends, she could sense they didn't want her there.
Whenever Megan tried to talk to her best friend, Natalia Preston, Natalia would only talk over her.
Whenever Megan walked with her boyfriend, Mark, she could sense he felt embarrassed to be seen with her.
Megan knew what people thought of her. She tried not to acknowledge it but when there's gossip about her, it was hard to not acknowledge this kind of things.
She felt as if for the first time in her life that the world was against her.
And that she was alone.
