Brandon's POV
I had arranged a quick meeting with Karen. If there was a chance that the attack was actually tomorrow, they would truly be ambushed. I couldn't let them do that. But I also couldn't let my sister get hurt. I would make sure she didn't. I would tell Karen about the attack and make sure she wasn't involved in the slightest.
“What do you want?” I heard from behind the trees in the forest, our usual meeting spot.
“I think I know when the attack is going to be” I said and heard her almost gasp.
“I knew letting you live there would come in handy. When and where?” she asked me after I turned around to look at her.
“When: tomorrow. Where: well, I can't do all the work can I?” I said hoping very much that she would take the joke.
“I suppose that is something” she said condescendingly. I hate it when she does that.
“Look, it wouldn't be too far away, so any patrol or anything of the sort in the nearby area, maybe somewhere along the line of like a 15 mile radius would quite possibly be the target. So I suggest you look through the operations you have in the area near Charleston and see what you can do. We both know they will be using Volm technology and that actually, you really don't want to be caught off guard with this.” I said trying to shift the power back into my hands.
“And how have you obtained this information?” she asked me cautiously.
“Accidentally you'll be happy to know. Tanya told me but she didn't realise.” I said and then decided to ask her slyly about what happened to Tanya. “Have you been communicating with Tanya recently?”
“Tanya? No I haven't. Why?” she asked and now seemed suspicious.
“Just making sure you honoured our deal that is all.” I said trying desperately to sound convincing.
She looked at me for a bit and then turned her back to me. “I'll deal with it. Thank you for your help” she said and begun to walk away. I didn't know if she had believed me or not, but quite frankly my only concern was to make sure that whatever happened tomorrow, Tanya was not involved. She would hate me, but I could deal with that. As long as she was safe.
I still didn't even know what had happened to her before in the tent. I needed to find out. Karen did seem genuinely surprised when I asked her about Tanya, so I don't think it had anything to do with her. What happened?
Tanya's POV
I wanted to find Lourdes. She was the only person I could tell about the incident. She could help me AND wouldn't make me sit out. Unless it actually did put my life in danger. But I trusted she would let me go. And wouldn't tell anyone in the process. I walked down the corridors of the infirmary only to pass Matt. He had just had a small fight with Anne; I could hear it before even walking into the building. Matt was the only person I had seen in my vision who was 100% dead. Why had I seen him dead, and what was the vision I had?
