Present Moment

Tanya Pope's POV

“I don't understand” she said confused, her head pounding with pain, her voice growing weak.

“You don't have to” the voice across from her spoke confidently.

“Why should I even trust you?” her voice sounded rusty; broken.

“Because you have no choice...”

Hal Mason's POV

A hubbub of noise surrounded him. He was sure he could hear his name being called, that something was wrong, but the darkness surrounding him led him to be unable to act on anything he saw. The bizarre dream he had had led him to feel a bit stronger, strangely enough, considering the things he had seen.

“Hal” he heard Maggie's voice scream at him as his eyes slowly started to awaken.

“Uhh” he grunted as he realised he was on the floor.

“Are you OK?” Matt's voice sounded from behind her; a look of concern on his face that he hadn't seen in quite a while.

“Yeah” he said as he tried to sit up, rubbing his head. “What the hell happened?” he asked as Maggie's face finally regained some colour.

“You started shaking” Matt interrupted with an answer “and then you fell off your wheelchair and started shaking even more” he continued as Maggie went over to bring the wheelchair closer to him in order for him, with her help of course, get up and sit on it.

“I see” he said as he with quite a bit of difficulty managed to climb onto the wheelchair.

“Are you sure you're alright?” Maggie asked him scared.

“Yeah” he smiled to re-assure her. “In fact, I had the strangest dream...”

***Lourdes Delgado POV***

It had been a while since she'd fallen over, but this bump on her head indicated it was quite the fall. She had no idea what had happened, only that all of a sudden she felt the need to be away from people and the nearest place to do that was the bathroom. And then, from walking into the room she remembered waking up from the floor, a massive bruise almost taking over the full size of her forehead.

“Ouch” she said as she tried to put some water on it from the sinks. God bless the water system she thought to herself as she tried to wash it a bit, trying to cool it down.

“Oh my God honey” a voice came from over her shoulder forcing her to turn around. It was her friend, the main nurse in the ward she worked in, Rachel. “What happened to you?” she asked as she went over and got a paper towel, wetting it under the sink and putting it on her forehead, easing the pain slightly.

“I think I passed out” she answered truthfully; she had no idea what had happened but to the best of her knowledge, that is exactly what took place. She felt ill and went to the bathrooms and then all of a sudden she passed out. “I must have a bug or something” she speculated as the woman took care of her.

“I think we oughta take you to the infirmary honey, this one looks pretty bad -”

“-NO” she screamed. She didn't know why but for some reason she didn't want anyone else knowing about this.
