CHAPTER ELEVEN

ELAYNA

“Yo, Adam,” a voice called from somewhere behind us, we both turned around to see a slightly annoyed looking Skylar headed towards our direction.

“What’s up?” Adam asked him.

“Dude some moron literally broke our flipping radiator and the upstairs flat are threatening to call the police if we don’t shut this party down,” he huffed out.

He then went on to explain how a couple of people played a game of twister near the heater’s pipes and someone somehow managed to fall and land on it, effectively snapping it and breaking the heater.

As Skylar continued to vent about people's stupidity, I searched the room for a clock, when I remembered that Adam had at some point during our little bet taken my phone from me for safe keeping. I reached into his side pocket and took my phone out, looking at the time I realised why the flat upstairs would be complaining, it was quarter to four in the morning!

“Shit,” I muttered, as I looked up from my phone to see amused looks on both Adam and Skylar’s faces, “What?” I asked them.

“Well you two seem to be getting along,” Skylar commented as he pointedly looked at the arm Adam had snaked around my waist, feeling slightly embarrassed I shrugged him off just as Skylar added, “No, it’s a good thing. Now I don’t have to stress about you two killing each other.”

Scoffing at that Adam added, “Hardly, anyway Puffin here is going to be staying with us for a while, right?” He asked as he raised an eyebrow at me. I mumbled an incoherent agreement at them as I looked intently at the seemingly fascinating game of spin the bottle that was commencing a few feet away from us.

“Is that so?” Skylar questioned, “Adam, dude seriously?” He asked him in a hushed tone, talking over me which did nothing, but annoy me.

“Relax, Sky,” Adam replied, “Neither of us is going to sleep with her and she just needs a place to crash for a while. You are cool with that, right?” Skylar seemed to muse over that before he nodded his head and smiled a show-stopping smile, one that reminded me that these two are indeed the Lima boys.

“I’ve always wanted a sister," he exclaimed, "Plus we haven’t quite figured out how to do the laundry yet,” he added playfully as he put his arm around me. Being true to Lima form he bent his down so he could whisper in my ear, “So when are you moving in?”

“Dude, get your mouth out of her ear,” Adam said before I had a chance to answer Skylar’s question.

“I’m just asking my new flatmate a fairly justified question, isn’t that right, Elayna?” Skylar asked me as he removed his arm from my shoulders and put them up in front of him.

“Yup,” I replied popping the ‘p’ as I smirked at the slight jealousy that was clear in Adam’s voice mere seconds ago, “I still think you cheated by the way, Adam,” I told him.

“What?” He questioned, faking hurt as he held his hand to his chest, “You were standing right there next to me when we asked everyone which they preferred.”

“Mmhm whatever you say, cheater.”

“Seriously,” Skylar began after clearing his throat, “When are you going to move in?” At that, both boys turned and expectantly looked at me.
