Sasha's pov

My new employee was very professional, we agreed on most of the things that needed to be done, I gathered as much information as I could about his father's influence in England.

It wasn't that impressive but it'll do, I just needed to reach only one powerful man and from there business is business.

As any other man, he gave me glances from time to time that said he wanted more than business, but he composed himself, it looks like he also did a research about me, well as much as he could. He did know I have other businesses but he was not interested in the details, that was good. I was almost impressed.

The dinner ended quite fast and I was wondering how my exchange went. I signaled Marius to come over after my employee left, "Did it start?" I talked to Vitaly a week ago, we were going short on money paper, yes, we also falsify money, and I have the best people in America who do these things, they pass the bank tests with ease.

"We don't have any reports." he stepped aside and let me thank the chef for the dinner.

"We're going to the club. And wait for news there." Something was wrong, I knew it.

After Marius started the engine, his phone rang. "I understand." was the only thing he said.

"There were some problems. I just got the call. " He looked at his phone, "Two minutes ago, the driver failed to understand the bargain." Well my instinct was still working good.

"Get there as fast as possible. Any details?" I took the phone out, Vitaly had some explaining to do.

"The driver is dead, the paper burned, one of our men is dead. The police was there also, they have no witnesses. No details about what the van had."

We reached the neighborhood in 5 minutes.

I heard a gun shot from the roof, as I got out of the car. Is the police so stupid? They know the consequences.

I started to walk to where the gun was heard, our man was running towards us. He had the bag with him, good.

He slowed down, "They, they are so stupid, I told them no credit cards, and that it was real money. Boss they didn't believe us. They are all dead."

Marius took him inside the club, he had all the information and we didn't want to expose him further. Someone was running towards me, he looked behind him and bumped right into me.

He was bleeding hard, as he looked up...It was the guy from the restaurant why...I tried to catch him but he collapsed on the floor unconscious. Was he a cop?

I looked up, "Hawk, status?"

"He's a cop, no one else except him. Never saw him, we think he's new." I signaled him to back down, he did good.

I turned my back and took a few steps away, I should let him die here. He's just a cop, it's not my job to.fuck this. Maybe he has information, and I could use a man on the inside.

The Red Velvet was a few feet away, I told Buck, one of the club's bodyguards, to take him to the basement, Xavier's lab was there and he could take the bullet out.

Marius and Joe were in my office.

"Tell me what happened, all of it. Marius, we have a guest downstairs, let Xavier take care of him, do not let him die, stay with him."  he nodded and left.

"Boss as I told you, they wanted credit cards not cash, their stupid driver crashed into the wall and the car exploded, the rest were shot by the police. They were already there when the exchange started, they had information about this. Ten cops, it was a miracle I survived, then this guy started to chase me, I knew he was mad when he set foot in the neighborhood. Is he dead?"  he started to fidget with his hands.

I gave him a stack of cash, "Thank you, it's best to stay away from the light for a period of time. Marius will contact you to where you'll be moved."

He nodded, took the cash and left. I sighed, Vitaly was not answering his phone. Of course. I'll deal with him soon enough. I took a shower and changed into a pair of high-waist black pants, a dark green blouse  and a pair of low heels. Let's see what our patient was doing.
