I woke up the next morning to a few rays of sunshine beaming down onto my face. I groaned and rolled over. I looked at my surroundings and furrowed my eyebrows. I was lying in a room that was very white and very clean, definitely not used to this. I thought about last night and thought about what had happened and then it clicked, I must be in Lin's guest bedroom.
I rolled out of bed and slowly made my way to the bathroom. I cleaned off the excess makeup that I neglected to get last night off my face and pulled my hair into a loose ponytail. I had definitely had my better looking days but this would do. I shrugged my shoulders and went back to check the time, it was only 7:05 AM.
I quietly left the room in case Lin was still sleeping and found myself back at the wall looking at the pictures of Lin with his friends. My favorites were the cast pictures of In The Heights and Hamilton. These actors and actresses just looked so elated, it put a smile on my face.
"Well buenos dias sleepy head!" Lin smiled at me as he rounded the corner and headed for the kitchen.
"Good morning." I gave him a sleepy smile and followed him over; I sat on the barstool that was underneath the island.
"How'd you sleep?"
"Like a rock. That's probably the best sleep I've gotten in months." I stretched out my arms, "You seem awfully awake right now."
"Oh I've been up for a couple of hours." He smiled
I grimaced, "Why?"
"Work calls and you distracted me last night."
"Oh that's not fair!" I laughed at him.
"Kidding. I had a phone conference with a few people from across the pond and this morning was the only time everybody could connect. I tried to go back asleep but the sun was already shining, it was a no go."
"That sounds dreadful."
"It was. But now I'm awake and fully prepared to make you a delicious breakfast."
My eyes lit up, "Really?"
"Of course! Would you like eggs?"
"Scrambled por favor!"
He grinned, "You're Spanish is coming along. Bacon?"
"Is that even a question Lin?" I gasped.
"Fair point," He chuckled, "Hash browns?"
I smiled at him and nodded my head like a child.
"Pancakes?"
"Oh my God! You can't keep offering more food because I have an awfully hard time saying no to food. But yes, pancakes sound amazing." My stomach grumbled quietly.
He smiled and started getting to work, "Need any help?" I asked.
"No no no! I'm making this breakfast. You can help by keeping me company?"
"I won't object to that."

The smoke detector started going off, "Lin! Have you ever made pancakes before?" I was cracking up and running to the windows to open them up. He was waving a towel in front of the smoke detector.
I walked over to the skillet and he frowned looking at the charred pancake, "I only turned away for a second. That pancake burned it self."
I giggled and threw the pancake away, "That was one spiteful pancake, huh?"
