"Lin!" I screamed, "Lin!" I yelled again, "Lin-Manuel hurry!" I nearly cried.
Lin rushed into the room with wide eyes, "Are you okay?"
I smiled, "Look!" I pointed to Sebastian who was standing up on his own. Cruz was looking at him and trying to mimic his older twin.
"Holy shit." He cried and sat down next to me, "Did he?"
I grinned, "He stood up all on his own."
"Look at my son!"
I gave him a look, "Really?"
"What?"
"You're quoting your own damn show." I giggled, "Although it is pretty sexy when you do it."
"Did I really?" He gave me the wide eyes.
"You don't even realize it, you're in far too deep."
He gasped, "Oh god! What do we do?"
I shook my head, "I don't know, this might be it for you."
"NOOOO!" He cried out.
I started cracking up and Sebby started laughing. He tried walking but wobbled over. He hit the ground with a thud. I was preparing for the incoming screaming that was sure to be coming but it didn't happen. Instead he rolled over and hopped right back up.
I looked at Lin and grinned, "He didn't even cry!"
"I think this is what heaven might be."
"No screaming children. Wow, what a beautiful moment this is." I smiled and snuggled into my cozy husband.
He wrapped his arm around my waist and kissed my head, "It really is. I have my beautiful wife and my perfect toddlers. How could anybody be happier in this moment?"
I leaned back and kissed him, "I don't even think that's possible."
One of the kids tried talking and got our attention back to them; Cruz was using the crib to hoist himself onto his feet.
"Holy crap!" I smiled, "What is happening right now?"
"They're both standing!"
I started laughing, "Life is so funny."
Lin smiled, "What do you mean?"
"Four years ago I was training for the Olympics. Now I'm getting excited over two standing toddlers. Life is just so funny."
He smiled and pulled me even closer, "It's funny but wonderful."
"Oh so wonderful! So so wonderful."
Sebastian started cooing and our attention was brought back to the boys. Cruz was still holding onto the crib. Sebastian was again attempting to make his way towards the two of us.
"Come on Sebby!" I cheered.
He cooed and laughed and started walking just a little bit faster.
"Oh shit!" Lin cried, "Come here boy!"
He laughed again and waddled his way over to me. He made it slowly but surely. He collapsed into my arms and I hugged the happy go lucky baby tightly, "You did it Seb!" I cried and kissed his face.
"My boy!
"Look! Lin!" I said pointing to Cruz.
The toddler was gripping the crib but he was trying to make his way towards his family. The determination on the small child's face was actually inspiring. In that moment there was nothing more that he wanted to do than get to his family. And he was doing exactly that. You could see the fear on the child's face as soon he reached the end of the crib.
