My phone rang from my bedside table. Why was it so damn loud? I groaned and saw that my alarm wasn't ringing but Lin was calling me. I quickly answered.
"Lin, are you ok?" I asked nervous. He never called during the morning.
"What? Yes I'm fine, why?"
"You never call in the morning. It scared me." I relaxed and got back into bed.
"Did I wake you up?"
"Considering it's," I took the phone off my ear and groaned when I saw the time, "6:15 in the morning I'd say yes, you woke me up."
"Right... I'm so sorry. I didn't really think that one through."
I laughed, "It's alright, what's up?"
"I wanted to wish you luck!" I could practically see him fan girl from the other side of the phone, "And I missed your voice..."
I smiled, "You're too sweet."
"Are you excited?"
"To meet J.J. Abrams? Hell yes I am Lin-Manuel!" I practically screamed into the phone.
"YES!" He yelled into the phone this time.
I couldn't wipe the smile off my face. This man was too much, "I'm only panicking a little bit. I'm mostly excited."
"Don't panic!"
"How could I not? He's a movie god Lin!"
"Well yes. That's besides the point."
I laughed, "Hardly. That's the entire point."
"Don't psych yourself out again Lena! Just be you. You're so loveable, he'll absolutely adore you."
"You already sound so British." I giggled.
"Bloody hell, do I really? Stop trying to change the subject." I could almost feel him giving me a look through the phone.
"Damn you caught me. I'll be myself Lin. I'm still insanely nervcited."
"Nervcited? Nervous and excited? I like that. I might use that is the future."
"You don't get nervous Lin."
"Well sometimes I do!"
"Like?"
"Right now! I'm nervous for you."
"Oh great." I groaned, "Now I have even more pressure on me."
"No no no! None at all! I just want you to be the best you can be. This is huge! But you're going to do great Lena. And like you said it's just a meeting. There's no commitments here just a meeting to get a feel for each other."
"You're right." I smiled.
"What time is it at?"
"10 AM. At a local coffee shop just down the street from me. I have a feeling he did that on purpose."
"He's considerate."
"Apparently so." I giggled again. It felt so good to just talk to Lin, it always just felt so right.
"Don't stress Lena. You'll be amazing per usual. And guess what?"
"Hmmm, what?"
"Only 6 more days until I get to see you're beautiful face again!"
"Is it really only 6 more days?" I gasped and looked at the date.
"Told you it would go fast!"
"It's so weird. Like time has been going so fast but it also feels like months since I've seen you when in reality it's only been a month."
