"I think that's everything." I said while I plugged in the lamp and switched it to the on position. I sighed and dramatically threw myself down on the couch.
I felt Lin sit next to me and pull me close to him, "We did it! We sort of successfully moved from London to New York!"
I laughed and snuggled into my sweet husband, "It only took three months?" I questioned.
He laughed with me and sighed, "It's a hell of a lot harder to move across the ocean with two one year olds." That's right, the boys turned one year old! How did that even happen?
Time seemed to fly on by. The medication worked wonders and I started to feel like myself soon after I started the anti-depressants. I was now slowly starting to wean myself off the drugs and was nearly there. So what happened in the past few months? The boys finally started sleeping through the night, at least four hours! Lin continued to work a new play that was super secretive, lord only knows what that man was planning on doing. I went back and performed as Hermione on the West End for eight more months before performing my final number about two weeks ago, talk about bitter sweet.
The plan now was to start scaling back just a touch so I could spend more time with the boys. Lin's plan was to continue working on the play while occasionally popping in on Hamilton performances. Which reminds me, the play is STILL topping Broadway every single week. It's currently the END of 2019 and the show still sells out tickets every single night, it's quite literally non-stop. My plan was much simpler than Lin-Manuel's. While I really genuinely loved performing on stage I missed the thing that made me feel whole, gymnastics. I just accepted a position as a coach at the local gymnastic club and wanted to start bringing in elite gymnasts to train.
"I will have to agree to that. Which reminds me, we really need to do something for your mom. She's had to deal with the little guys on and off for the better part of three months."
He ran his fingers through his long Hamilton hair and sighed, "You're right, let me think of something."
"It doesn't have to be anything grandeur! Just something to show our appreciation."
He smiled, "You are incredible mi amor."
I stuck my tongue out at him, "Says the guy who literally wrote an entire play while still preforming on the Hamilton stage six nights a week. I really don't get how you do it."
He grinned, "It's easy really. I have the most beautiful wife and the best children around. Working comes so easy when I love that I'm doing and when I know I get the pleasure of supporting the best things that have ever happened to me."
"You're too cheesy." I laughed and kissed his nose.
"You like it though." He winked at me.
I smiled, "I'm afraid you know me all too well Mr. Miranda."
"Well Mrs. Miranda I'd say that's a pretty damn good thing considering we've been married for nearly two and a half years now."
"Has it really been that long already?"
"Time flies when you're so incredibly happy doesn't it?"
"It does. Those boys are already a year old! A freaking year old! We've kept the two of them alive and well for an entire year. I cannot believe that."
He smiled, "And they have such different personalities. Sebastian is the loud, overbearing but loving twin while Cruz is the quiet more reserved and kind twin."
I giggled to myself.
Lin cocked an eyebrow, "What? Spill it."
"I don't know why it's taken me so long but Seb is just like you and Cruz is just like me."
