We went to bed around 11 PM London time. Lin fell asleep relatively quickly but for whatever reason jetlag was hitting me hard and I was wide-awake. I lay in bed until about 2 AM before I became so frustrated with trying to sleep. I got up quietly and made my way to the living room. I flipped on the television and mindlessly watched the local news. I made myself a cup of tea to try and relax my body and kept on watching the news.
4 AM rolled around and by this point I was just getting irritated. I had tried nearly everything but my body was so wired. I audibly groaned and plopped down on the couch.
"Are you okay?" I heard a croaky Lin voice from over me.
I looked up and smiled at him, "I'm wonderful. Why are you up?"
"I got lonely." He smiled and walked around the couch to join me.
"I couldn't sleep." I sighed. He motioned for me to lift my head up and I did. He sat down and put my head on his leg. He started messing with my hair.
"Have you slept at all?"
"Nope."
"What? It's 4 in the morning!"
"I'm stuck in LA time. Meaning it's 8 PM for my body."
"That's brutal."
"Tell me about it. I might just have to stay up until tomorrow night."
He gave me a look, "That just doesn't sound fun."
"What do you mean? You don't like being up for 36 hours straight?"
He smiled and kissed my forehead, "Come back to bed. It's worth a shot to get a little bit of sleep."
"You're already trying to foil my plan!"
He laughed, "You are so cute."
I grinned at him, "That's you!" I poked his nose.
"And you."
"And you!"
"I don't see either of us backing down anytime soon. So I will quit."
"Ha! I win."
"Because I let you."
I shrugged my shoulders, "Still won."
"I suppose you have a point. Bed?"
I groaned, "Fine. I'll try and sleep."
He stood up and picked me up bridal style, "Good."
"Hey! I am not that light. You can't just..."
"But I already did?"
"Oh you evil man." I narrowed my eyes at him.
"But you love it."
I giggled, "I'm afraid I do."
He walked over to the bed and set me down gently. He joined me and pulled me close to him, "Lena?"
"Hmm?"
"I'm so happy you're here."
"And I'm happy to be here. Now get some sleep."
He nodded his head and quickly fell asleep. Surprisingly I wasn't too far behind him as I nodded off.
I woke up and nearly jumped out of bed because I was so disoriented. I quickly realized I was in Lin's apartment. I checked my phone and freaked when I saw that it was 12:30 PM. Shit, how could he let me sleep that long? I pulled up my tangled hair and bolted out of the room. Lin wasn't anywhere to be seen. I walked over to the kitchen and saw the note written out by Lin.
