11:26PM

I never really did fall asleep last night, at around 4am I knew that I could get up and start the day or give in to sleep. I woke up sometime after 9:30am. I took a shower. While showering I realised I should have sanded and painted another coat of poly on my desk before showering, but whatever. So I got dressed in painting clothes. Painted.

Then I went along with dad to go get the pickup he bought from Kobus for $200. It doesn't run, so he needed me to come along and steer it as he towed it to our yard. I'd snapchated Cameron while painting, and he said he'd drive along with me to Dumas for compony. After getting back from towing the very dusty pickup, I took another shower and got dressed again, in neater clothes. I picked Cameron up and we headed to Dumas. We dropped off the car and walked across the highway to 287 Steakhouse and ate lunch. I got a burger that had a surprising jalapeno kick, Cameron ordered chicken fried steak and the thing was enormous; I mean it covered his plate, it was ridiculous. We got back to the Ford dealer. I really feel it worth noting that the girl working the service department office was an extremely unpleasant person; at least that was my initial conclusion when first interacting with her. Then I gave it more thought and I became interested in my assumption that she was an unpleasant person versus the possibility that she was having an off day.

Either way, we sat in the waiting area for a bit while they finished up. Cameron wanted to see if Walmart "had something", I wasn't in any hurry anywhere, so we drove across the street to Walmart. What he was looking for was Biore blackhead strips that you stick on your nose. They had them. He mentioned that we hadn't done the charcoal face mask thing that we had planned on doing yet. I told him that he should shave and then we'd do it.

We stopped by the lumber store (Bartletts) and looked at metal roofing for Dad's deck. He asked me to order the appropriate stuff, but it turned out they had it in stock, so we didn't really do anything there.

We considered having a LAN party tonight. Neil really doesn't seem to like having people over, so we canceled it. Then we thought we'd try playing Half-Life online. After more than an hour of troubleshooting the server, I got it running, but then Neil's internet magically went to shit and we couldn't play anyway.

Turns out Cameron is also going back to college Saturday.

Well I gave up on video games and walked over to Dad's house where I laid on the couch and watched "The Magicians" on Netflix up until I started typing this.

Still think showing Grandma the first few entries would be a good idea.
