**| Sang's POV |**

The rest of the day went by quickly and Kota took me home, Nathan in the car with us. We parked in front of Kota's house and then crossed the street to mine. Nathan went inside first and I released a slow breath before going inside.

"Are you okay?" Kota asked, giving me a concerned look. "Do you need more pain medicine?"

I shook my head. "Sean made sure I took some during gym period."

He nodded as we went into the living room. I eyed the door that led into Diane's room. I hadn't been in there since her death and the door has been closed. I couldn't get up the nerve to go into what amounted to being Diane's sanctuary.

It was weird to be in my house so openly, weird to be sitting in the living room, weird to not have to rush to get chores done, weird to not have worry about Diane. It was all just...weird.

"What's a better word for weird?" I asked as I settled down at the coffee table with the boys flanking me.

They both looked at me, probably wondering where the question came from.

"Strange, bizarre, peculiar, abnormal, odd," Nathan listed a few words.

Odd. I liked odd.

"Why do you ask?" Kota asked, pushing up his glasses as he watched me curiously.

"No particular reason," I mumbled, pretending to get distracted with whatever homework was given to me today.

The next hour passed by slowly as we worked on our assignments and waited for everyone, including the Toma team, to get here.

Someone knocked on the door and Nathan went to answer it. A moment later he returned with the Toma team. I smiled and got to my feet, going over to Raven and giving him a hug.

"How are you, Pavlin?" he asked in his deep, gruff voice.

"I'm good. Have you guys figured out where Ghost is yet?" I asked, stepping away from him. He was really tall, well over six feet and I had to crank my neck up to look at him.

His expression darkened and he shook his head. "No. He's truly a ghost."

I deflated, hoping there was some good news. Raven patted my head as he walked past me and threw himself down on my couch. He made the poor couch look like a love seat despite it being able to fit four people on it.

Corey smiled brightly as he went to the coffee table, sitting down next to Kota. Brandon patted my head as he walked by. He knocked one of Raven's legs off the couch and sat down.

"How are you holding up?" Marc asked.

"Fine," I replied politely. I wasn't as comfortable with the other members as I was with Raven so I shifted awkwardly while Marc stared at me with his two different eye colors. It was odd.

My lips twitched. I was beginning to like that word.

Marc finally sighed and went into the living room, leaving me standing before Axel. This man was definitely intimidating. More so than Mr. Blackbourne but that was probably because I liked Mr. Blackbourne, a lot, but I didn't know Axel. I couldn't read anything in his blank expression. His glasses made his dark eyes more intense as they watched every move.

He nodded at me and the movement startled me enough so that I only nodded back, unable to say anything.

Everyone settled down to do their own things and I was just getting back to my homework when the door flew open.
