*Gasp* It's an update!!!! Thank you for your patience with this story. It kind of went to the back burner as I focused more on Nomad 101 and my writing time decreased thanks to life. I'm working on more updates for you this week.

**| Sang's POV |**

I sat in Biology class with Silas as the class worked on another worksheet. Silas and I finished answering the questions early and were now drawing funny pictures on a scrap piece of paper.

We weren't the best drawers, not like Gabriel, and that only made the pictures funnier. Silas's picture was of a muffin with a face, including a monocle and a moustache. Underneath that, he wrote 'English Muffin' and I needed to hold in my laughter. It was such a corny picture.

Silas smiled wide when he realized how much I thought it was funny. He then drew a donut and a leaf with faces, arms and legs.

The donut had his arms crossed, facing away from the leaf and it said, "Donut talk to me."

The leaf had a similar expression and said, "Leaf me alone."

I snorted at the picture and eyed Mr. Gerald to make sure he wasn't paying attention. His tablet distracted him from anything we were doing. I grabbed the sheet of paper and quickly drew a waffle and a pancake. I wrote 'Waffles are just pancakes with abs' and smiled when I heard Silas snort.

He grabbed the picture and spent a few minutes drawing another picture. He finally showed me. He drew a strawberry with a robber's mask covering its eyes and a gun in one of its hands with the other hand holding a bag with the money symbol on it. He had the strawberry saying, "Put your hands in the air. This is a stroberry."

I couldn't help myself and let out a giggle, slapping a hand over my mouth as a bad attempt to hold in the laughter.

"Miss Sorenson."

My head snapped up with wide eyes as I looked at Mr. Gerald. He glowered at me before lifting up a stack of folders. "Since you have nothing better to do than entertain Mr. Korba, how about you use your time more productively and bring this up to the chemistry lab on the second floor?"

I nodded, standing to my feet, my legs wobbling a little. "Yes, sir," I said.

Silas went to stand up but Mr. Gerald quickly ended any hope of him coming with me. "I'm sure Miss Sorenson is capable of taking the stairs on her own to the second floor."

Silas frowned and I could tell he really wanted to go with me. I sent him a comforting smile to let him know I would be fine before going to grab the stack of folders.

"Room 212," Mr. Gerald said and I nodded.

There was still enough time for me to go up and drop the folders off and make it back to class so I didn't bother bringing my bag, but I doubled checked to make sure my phone was tucked safely away in my bra.

After Mr. McCoy tried to drag me out of the school, I wasn't taking any chances. Warily, I made my way down the hall, going up the flight of stairs.

I paused in the middle of the first flight, stopping when I spotted two familiar girls.

Jade and Helen.

Helen leaned against the wall, staring out the window with a bored expression as Jade talked animatedly next to her. I went up another step and Helen turned, spotting me. Her eyes narrowed and Jade realized she lost the focus of her friend and looked over to see what caught Helen's attention.

Jade's hard eyes narrowed and she turned to face me completely. She wore a short skirt, definitely ending before her fingertips did. Her sheer red top hinted at the black bra she wore underneath and I couldn't figure out why she was still in school. Her outfit definitely went against school policy.
