**| Sang's POV |**

"Where is Maria?" I asked as we went into my house.

Luke shrugged as he headed into the kitchen.

Gabriel wrapped his arm around my shoulder and tugged me into his side. "She's down the street. She befriended a girl name Danielle who's about her age."

I frowned, trying to put a face to the name but kept drawing a blank. "How do you know this and not me?" I asked. How could I not know about Maria making a friend? About someone she's willing to go to their house for. A part of me relaxed at this. Maria did have someone.

Gabriel chuckled. "Because we are nosy fuckers and it's good to keep an eye on Maria too. We wouldn't want her being used against you."

I froze, forcing Gabriel to stop.

"Sang? What's wrong?" he asked as I grew light-headed.

I look up, meeting his green eyes. "I didn't know," I whispered.

He looked confused.

"I didn't even think about Ghost using Maria to get to me. She's always been left untouched."

"Trouble, don't worry. We have her covered and it's our job to think about those things. You're job is to just stay safe and to run like hellhounds are on your heels."

"Hellhounds?"

Gabriel winced. "Nathan showed me an episode of Supernatural." He shivered. "I do not want to be chased by those invisible fucks."

I giggled at that and he grinned back at me.

"Come on!" Luke called from the kitchen. "Stop flirting and let's get this party started. I found the snacks I hid here."

We went into the kitchen to see Luke filling a bowl up with chips, a smaller bowl next to it with a cheese dip.

Luke cut open another bag and dumped an assortment of individually wrapped mini chocolate pieces into a bowl.

"Where were you hiding that?" Gabriel asked, letting me go to dig through the bowl of candy, picking pieces out.

Luke just grinned and made a zipping motion with his fingers over his lips.

"We should probably feed her dinner first," Gabriel mumbled before popping candy into his mouth.

"After we dance!" Luke cheered and went over to the counter to plug his phone into a stereo system. Seconds later, music filled the air and Luke walked over to my slowly and then grabbed my hands and moved. I laughed and responded to his movements, Gabriel joining in.

And then we danced.

And laughed.

And goofed off like little children without a care in the world.

After a couple of songs, Luke went over and began digging through the cupboards, his expression set into curiosity as he browsed what I had. Gabriel pulled me close, his hands on my waist, fingers skimming my bare skin, his scent comforting me, his warmth relaxing me.

He pulled me up against his chest and I sighed as we swayed to the slower beat. I closed my eyes and rested my head against him. He was only half a head taller than me, shorter compared to the others and so I could rest my forehead against his shoulder comfortably.

"This is nice," I whispered.

Gabriel tightened his grip on me. "Agreed."

Then something rang, ruining the moment. I looked around because I knew it wasn't my cell phone and normally the boys' phones just buzzed.
