Doukas grinned wide as he looked everyone over. "How's it going, boys?" he asked. The way he said boys was as if they were still little children up to no good.

"Why are you here?" Mr. Blackbourne asked.

Doukas ignored him and went over to an empty sofa chair and sat down. He leaned back, stretching his longs legs out in front of him before tilting his head back and closing his eyes as if he were about to take a nap.

"Mr. Doukas," I began but he interrupted me.

"Alex, Asteráki. Call me Alex or I'm just going to ignore you."

I cleared my throat. "Alex," I said.

He opened his eyes, his dark green eyes focusing on me. "Yes?"

I fumbled with my words for a moment before I was able to speak. "What's going on? Why are you here?"

"To check up on a member of the Doukas Family, of course."

I just stared at him because I could see a light layer of seriousness in his eyes. This was more than just a simple check up.

"Why are you really here?" Mr. Blackbourne said.

He sighed. "You guys are so serious. You need to learn to relax. Live a little." When no one said anything, everyone focused on him with the air heavy with tension, he shook his head as if disappointed. "I'm here with some news. Could be good or bad." He frowned and worry flashed in his eyes before he buried it deep. "I don't know yet."

"How about you just fucking tell us the news and we will let you know which one it is," North said. He was standing by the door, arms crossed over his wide chest, muscles straining due to the tension currently wired through his body.

"Hmm. Good idea. Alright." Doukas sat up straight and stared at me unblinkingly. "The Doukas Family is sending a group here this week. They wish to meet you."

My mouth popped open but no words came out, not that I needed to say anything. The boys had enough to say for me.

"Fuck no!" North bellowed.

"Shit. Motherfucking shit, the bad guys are coming," Gabriel muttered, running a hand through his hair.

"We won't let them see her," Nathan said.

Kota mumbled under his breath as he counted, eyes wide behind his glasses as he tried to process the new information.

Mr. Blackbourne was glaring at Doukas, probably blaming him for the new disaster coming our way.

Silas stayed quiet but he moved closer to me.

Victor's eyes were an inferno as he stared at me, his mind at work as his fingers tapped against his leg.

Sean was looking between Mr. Blackbourne and Doukas, trying to come up with something to say.

Luke's eyes were blank as he stared at a wall, his finger messing around with a candy wrapper in his hand. He stopped and shook his head. "No. No, they don't get to see her."

Doukas's lips tilted upwards. "So it's bad news then. And if they want to see her, I don't see how you're going to stop them. They like getting what they want and right now, it's to see little Miss Sang Sorenson, nearly all grown up. When is your sixteenth birthday?"
