Chapter 15 - His Mission

I dangled my feet in the pond, the cool water soothing my toes from being trapped in tight shoes non stop. Plus if I stayed back with that angel any longer I was gonna kill her. She can read congratulations but she doesnt know anything. Shes had everything in her life handed to her on a silver platter while ive been digging around for scraps. Shes lived in a palace, I was wandering the streets till I was 6. She doesnt understand. I stared down at the water and started singing a song. Id heard this on a radio. Something I stole one day when I found a human dead on the floor. The human had this small device and things to put in my ear. An ipod I think it was called but one day it started saying there was no battery life and I didnt know what to do and I got frustrated and broke it. But I always remember one song. I related to it so much.

"Glad to know I'm welcome" Neros voice interrupts and I jump at the shock. "What do you want Nero?" I asked changing the subject. "Are we going back to the grumpy Kitten" he purrs and I lunge at tackle him. Straddled on his waist, I pin his arms beside his head. He rolls his eyes and easily rolls us over, pinning arms like I did his and our legs crosed over one and others. "That wasnt very nice" he says and I struggle in his grip.."NERO LET ME GO! I HATE PEOPLE RESTRAINING ME!" I yelled but he didnt move. " I realised" he says and I glare at him. "NERO LET GO!" I hissed and he shook me and I stopped struggling. "Manners Kytara" he says and I growl. "Please let me go" I muttered and he leant down closer. "I'm sorry I couldnt hear you" he says and I lift up just enough to bite his neck. Hard. He jumped back and grabbed his neck. "OW!" I screamed and I moved away from him a little. "Okay looks like you do have bite" he says pulling his hand away and a few drops of blood leaked from his neck. "Oh god Nero.....I'm....I didnt mean to" I said mortified and angry at myself once again. "Its okay" he says, "I'm healed already" he says and I look up to see nothing but a few drops of blood. "You were worried?" He says but it sounded like more of a question. "No. I dont care what happens to you" I tell him and try to walk away but the minute I turned away, my back was slammed into a tree, arms pinned by my side. "You're lying. You do care" he says and I tried pushing him away but he wouldnt budge. "Stop lying to me Kytara" he says extremly close, I could feel his hot breath on my skin and I could smell his scent surrounding me. He steps back and stare at him. "Im gonna tame you kitten. By the end of this journey, you will be polite, and honest. Thats my mission" he says and I put a hand on my hip. "I'm not something to be tammed. I was raised to be wild" I tell him as he places his hands on his jeans before he turns and walks away. "We'll see" he says and before he could take a step further I run and push him into the pond. I watch as he surfaces, his dark hair dripping with water. I couldnt help but laugh. The look on his face was absolutly priceless.

Nero
Ahhh theres that laugh ive been dying to hear. I heard her trying to be quiet as she ran and I was thinking of turning around and pushing her in the water before she could push me but I thought if I acted completly shocked it would make her happy and it did. Her laughter filled the air and it was beautiful. Almost as beautiful as her voice. I listened to her sing for a while before coming out to see her and now shes laughing. I'm gonna find a way to make her laugh every day. Although I am worried about Hope. I dont want her thinking I'm choosing Kytara over her. I care for them both. I knew I felt a connection with them both but that has just grown. I love it when they fight. Its kinda cute how Kytara holds back with her insults and Hope tries so hard to be tough and intimidating. Both girls fighting for a similar cause. Theyre not so different. Kytara finally stopped laughing and tried hiding the smile on her face. Oh yeah no way. I teleport behind her and push her into the water but not before she grabbed my hand and pulled me back in with her. I was going to crush her under my weight if I fell on her and thats where this was headed so I quickly moved her closer and spun mid fall so I landed in the water first and she landed on me. I landed first and she landed on top of me, her hands landing on my chest. I stared into her eyes getting lost for a moment. I could stay in her perfect eyes forever. I saw her eyes flick between my lips and then back up to my eyes. I did the same. Shes gonna kiss me. Or at least thats what I thought before she pushed up and jumped out of the water. Dammit. She slipped her shoes on and walked back to the camp. I follow not to far behind, total silence between us. Although shes acting like she doesnt care I know sometimes she wont acknowledge now. Shes broken.
